"The world needs ditch diggers too!" Ted Knight has some of the best lines in this movie! He doesn't get the credit he deserves for playing the straight man!
RIP Rodney Dangerfield. One of the coolest and most hilarious old dudes. How many 60 year olds in 1980 would've been blasting a song by a (back then) new rock band?
Actually Journey had already been around nearly a decade by then. They started as a Santana spin-off. They moved toward pop when they brought in Steve Perry.
"The man's a menace!" LOL I miss Ted Knight's awesome facial expressions, he and Dangerfield are both great comic actors I wish we had seen more of. Cheers for posting this.
One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. They did a a few scenes in a house in my neighborhood. Hilarious. Ted Knight was a comedic genious. RIP Mr. Baxter...I mean Knight.
When Ted Knight passed away suddenly, Rodney refused to do the the 2nd movie without him. Then Bill Murray wouldnt do it without Rodney so we ended up with the worst movie of all time -caddyshack 2.
If Ted Knight was still alive for the 2nd movie. It would've been a perfect plot for Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase and Ted Knight to come back with Judge Smails looking to get revenge on Al Chervick
0:38 I just love the two guys in the back dancing! The one on the right having the time of his life and the guy on the left’s like, “I don’t dance but I’ll try.”
0:28 I would have music blaring at public areas and events just for a laugh, not to disturb the peace. Its too bad they don't have comedies like this anymore.
He does and that's where I first discovered Journey :D I googled the episode, found out what song it was, listened all the way through, loved every second and went from there :D
My dad was "golf course renovations supervisor" at the Rutgers University golf course, but he always referred to himself as "just the head ditch digger". He loved this movie. I love you Dad, I miss you.
Nothing beats the scene where he slices the shot "Hundred bucks says you slice it into the woods." then he does and swears "DAMN!" Laughed for so long.
After being told, "the world needs ditch diggers, too," I'd say, "Carry your own damn bag asshole." Not paid to be nice to, fine. Treat me like that, fuck you. lol
Harold Ramis must have known this would be an instant classic look at that line up Ted Knight Rodney Dangerfield Bill Murray and Chevy Chase lets not forget Cindy Morgan a.k.a. Lacey Underall whom I'm sure we owed at least a few dreams to when we were kids CLASSIC FILM
Best movie ever! and these scenes definitely give a good preview of how truly funny this movie is. But I would have to say that those two scenes are one of my favorite parts of the whole movie. especially when Ted gets hit with the golf ball, the sound he makes is hilarious!
Hey Kunstler, I hope that you have many awesome moments this holiday season, and that your Christmas is one surprise after the next! Merry Christmas to My Great Nephew! Love your Uncle CM
Classic. Dangerfield is brilliant in this film. If I remember correctly when he's a guest star on The Simpsons as Larry Burns he copies this scene slightly.
HILARIOUS.... One of the TOP 3 comedy movies of ALL TIME. WHY CAN'T Hollywood write ANYTHING original / good anymore.... it's all remakes of old movies, rehashed plots or comic books turned into movies.... pathetic
There is absolutely no jury that would have convicted the Judge for taking his golf club and wrapping it around Rodney's neck for that! LOL Also slight costume error on the stuntman or prop that the golf ball hit, it had different pants on then Ted Knight. Still hilarious scene!
Thank You Rodney. I can't hear "Any Way You Want It" without chuckling because of this scene. You are missed. :-(
"The world needs ditch diggers too!" Ted Knight has some of the best lines in this movie! He doesn't get the credit he deserves for playing the straight man!
RIP Rodney Dangerfield. One of the coolest and most hilarious old dudes. How many 60 year olds in 1980 would've been blasting a song by a (back then) new rock band?
We'll never see his like again.
big sound golf clue caring case lol
@@ARCtrooperblueleader unfortunately sad to know. But you're so right.
Actually Journey had already been around nearly a decade by then. They started as a Santana spin-off. They moved toward pop when they brought in Steve Perry.
RIP Ted Knight as well
Favorite Caddyshack scene. If you look up "awesome" in the dictionary Rodney Dangerfield dancing to Journey should be right there.
How about Chris Wallace doing the 'Humpty Dance' on Fox News Sunday? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Classic.
"I should've yelled two". LOL.
That golf bag is awesome, best golf bag ever!
Only Rodney would not only have a golf bag with a radio in it, but be able to turn the radio on and have it instantly play a good song.
"The man's a menace!" LMAO
Journey: Ooh, all night
All night
Oh, every night
“CUT THAT OFF!!!” ALMFAO
"The man's a menace!" LOL I miss Ted Knight's awesome facial expressions, he and Dangerfield are both great comic actors I wish we had seen more of. Cheers for posting this.
Did you know that Ted won 4 silver stars during ww2?
One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. They did a a few scenes in a house in my neighborhood. Hilarious. Ted Knight was a comedic genious. RIP Mr. Baxter...I mean Knight.
Ted Knight and Rodney STOLE that movie .
LOL. Everytime I hear this Journey song, I think of Caddyshack.
I've always wanted a golf bag like his, radio, bar, and club ejector.
Rodney didn't get enough credit for his dancing. :)
So what! So what? So let's dance!
Dah! Now what the devil?
< 'Anyway You Want It' by Journey plays on radio >
The man's a menace! (Scene!)
CUT THAT OFF!!
JOHN gallagher: A guy enters a Chinese restaurant and asks for a bag a nuts. The Chinese owner replies: “ I don’t think so! You’re nuts!”.
They don't make em like Rodney anymore.
When Ted Knight passed away suddenly, Rodney refused to do the the 2nd movie without him. Then Bill Murray wouldnt do it without Rodney so we ended up with the worst movie of all time -caddyshack 2.
Then Murray sued the studio because he had been part of creating the gopher character and got an out-of-court settlement.
Rodney also got sued by the studio because he refused to do the second movie
If Ted Knight was still alive for the 2nd movie. It would've been a perfect plot for Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase and Ted Knight to come back with Judge Smails looking to get revenge on Al Chervick
1:12 lol I miss 80's movies where you can have a girl without a bra in a scene and it aint a big deal.
yes!
Ah, the good old days! I miss them, too.
80s comedies were the best funny scenes memorable lines hot girls. They don't make movies like that today
I can never get enough of watching the guy in the white shirt Dancing!
0:38 I just love the two guys in the back dancing! The one on the right having the time of his life and the guy on the left’s like, “I don’t dance but I’ll try.”
"I should have yelled TWO!"
LMAO! Dangerfield was the KING.
0:28 I would have music blaring at public areas and events just for a laugh, not to disturb the peace. Its too bad they don't have comedies like this anymore.
Top 5 comedy of all time. Even 25 years later, I still lol every time I see this movie even though I've probably seen it a 100 times.
He does and that's where I first discovered Journey :D
I googled the episode, found out what song it was, listened all the way through, loved every second and went from there :D
the guy in the back right, yellow shirt. omg funniest dancing ever. watched it ten times hahahah
I hate that this never happens in real life...
TheLastThingWeNeed Meaning?
@TheLastThingWeNeed - People need to live a little.
@@ARCtrooperblueleader Haha I work at a golf course. Have a nice LOUD portable speaker! What the fuck you think I did on the first hole? DANCED!
A guy enters a Chinese restaurant and asks for a bag a nuts. The Chinese owner replies: “ I don’t think so! You’re nuts!”.
Retitled: The best Caddyshack clip
"so what?"
"so what? so let's dance!"
those headlights though -
Yeah I was wondering if it was going to take a lesbian to point that out to all the men here....
That dancing put this over the top.
One of the greatest comedies of all time!!!
One of the greatest scenes in movie history.
My dad was "golf course renovations supervisor" at the Rutgers University golf course, but he always referred to himself as "just the head ditch digger". He loved this movie. I love you Dad, I miss you.
Rodney’s golf swing is hilarious
I like how everyone starts dancing too.
"The world needs ditch diggers too..." good stuff LOL
Damn I wanna dance like Rodney..
Nothing beats the scene where he slices the shot
"Hundred bucks says you slice it into the woods."
then he does and swears
"DAMN!"
Laughed for so long.
One of the golf courses they used in the movie was Rolling Hills Country club in Davie Florida. Played that course many a time.
"so what? so let's dance!"
best line ever !!
the best moment in film history ever.
I know that song, it's "Any way you want it" by Journey.
how is it that this movie never gets old. Its such a classic. I wonder if they knew they were making a classic when shooting it.
I love when he says he’s breaking the law! 😂🔇⛳️🏌️♂️
0:44-0:46 Those people dancing in the background kill me😂😂
It's hilarious seeing Wang (no offense) rubbing butts with his female caddy.
Wang doing the infamous 70's "bump."
I know right?! The guy on the far right is just having the time of his life.
Rodney Dangerfield, LEGEND.
This movie is epic...can never we remade....never....
So WHAT?
So LET'S DANCE!
I love that song and this movie.
0:44 That is exactly how Larry Burns danced at the end of the Simpsons episode.
I work at a golf course, and I could only wish this stuff happens when I’m at work everyday 😂
After being told, "the world needs ditch diggers, too," I'd say, "Carry your own damn bag asshole." Not paid to be nice to, fine. Treat me like that, fuck you. lol
When Lacy said "Nice Try" I came
The best movie.
D'Annunzio looks so done with his job here😂
This or three o'clock high-my fave flick of all time. And as for that Lacy....
“I’d like to go to law school after college but looks like my folks won’t have the money”
“We’ll the world needs ditch diggers too” 😂🤣😅
That shows you how big Journey was!!
"Can you make a Land Shark?" "Can you make a shoe stink?" "Very funny...here, keep the change and get a decent haircut." LOL!!!
He asked him to make a bullshot. It's a cocktail made of vodka, beef bouillon, and Worcestershire sauce.
Unparalleled golf comedy.
Blocks of ice up stairs in the hot sun...funniest Rodney line ever😂😎
Harold Ramis must have known this would be an instant classic look at that line up Ted Knight Rodney Dangerfield Bill Murray and Chevy Chase lets not forget Cindy Morgan a.k.a. Lacey Underall whom I'm sure we owed at least a few dreams to when we were kids CLASSIC FILM

TED KNIGHT...I miss that guy, and RD too! Epic...
"Don's sell yourself short, judge, You're a tremendous slouch."
Best movie ever! and these scenes definitely give a good preview of how truly funny this movie is.
But I would have to say that those two scenes are one of my favorite parts of the whole movie. especially when Ted gets hit with the golf ball, the sound he makes is hilarious!
I hear this song, and Rodney dancing and pissed off Smails always pops into my head
I saw this for the first time last night, what a brilliant moment
"So what? So let's dance!!!" haha I bet he hardly had to act for any of this movie. Funny man.
Hey Kunstler, I hope that you have many awesome moments this holiday season, and that your Christmas is one surprise after the next! Merry Christmas to My Great Nephew! Love your Uncle CM

One of the greatest
'I should have yelled two' rofl> Rodney Dangerfield was the best. There will never be another like him. R.I.P
Classic. Dangerfield is brilliant in this film.
If I remember correctly when he's a guest star on The Simpsons as Larry Burns he copies this scene slightly.
The song is called Any Way You Want It by Journey.
this movie is one of mankind's greatest achievements.

Best movie ever made.
That's awesome. I've got to get one of those golf bags with a radio.

HILARIOUS.... One of the TOP 3 comedy movies of ALL TIME.
