Hi there I wanted to ask did you need to bring your passports, did they check it? My wife is not British

Not necessary, at least Stena don’t ask as it’s not so different to taking a train, bus etc within the UK. But they do occasionally have random security checks on arrivals etc. When we arrived to Liverpool they did a check but I can’t remember any other time. Obviously it’s best though to bring a passport, ID, or residency card etc. just in case or at least a copy if worried about losing original.
