If I had a dollar for every time Sony Vegas crashed while making this video, I'd probably be a billionaire by now.
Seriously, I can't even work on it for 30 seconds without it freezing and then crashing... and I am SO sick of it. And then when I was finally done, SV puts this ugly watermark on it. As you can see, I tried to crop it out as much as I could.. but it's still there at some point in the video.
I think that Caroline Forbes is an incredible character and I just love vidding her. Not only because she's my favorite, but also because I think that she is beautiful, strong and full of light (Yes, I'm quoting Klaus.) and just so much more. She's been through so much, but yet she remained strong and is always positive (for the most part). I just think she's a super fun, smart, adorable, ass-kicking character and it just really bothers and upsets me that some people still look at her like she's the conceited, girly, immature and shallow girl she once was. But even then, I loved her. There has never been a moment that I didn't love her. I adore her so much and I feel like Caroline Forbes is a character that pretty much everyone can relate to at some point - I know I can.
Caroline is such an underrated character and I wish people would give her, and also Candice Accola, more credit. Candice is one of my absolute favorite actresses, and I hope to see more of her in the future. Also, I'm really hoping that Caroline will actually get a real story line in season 6 of TVD, not just another one of her being someone's love interest and then either having that love interest leaving town cough Klaus cough or having that love interest reject her. But well... we will see.

Reasons that Caroline is and always will be my favorite character:
She was extremely relate-able in Season 1. I instantly understood her insecurities and felt for her because growing up I always had the best friend that everyone loved and everyone liked. All the guys I had crushes on would talk to me to ask about HER. It sucks and it hurts.
But, she blossoms in Season 2. And it's always good to see the underdog blossom and grow!
Caroline is proof that not all Vampires just become a more heightened version of themselves! She did keep a lot of her personality traits that became stronger, yes. (Planning, controlling, multitasking, etc.)
But, her insecurities eventually faded and she became this confident, kindhearted and compassionate person that she desperately wanted to be when she was human!
She went from "kiddie pool shallow" to "ocean deep". =P

Let's face it, the show treated Caroline and Bonnie like shit compared to their precious Elena. And Caroline is totally right when she says everyone always picks Elena first and I don't even know why like what's so special about her. Elena is the most boring, stupid and self absorbed character i've ever seen(and I watch a lot of shows) and still everyone loves her. It's always Elena, Elena this Elena that.
While I think in the course of the series Carolines storyline got a bit better, she still didn't get what she deserves as the awesome female character that she is.

Actually no she is a caring person. Every single vampire is bad but they are good too. All of them are caring. And no she isn't just using people. She loves all her friends. Caroline let her sexual vampire drive get in the way which is a flaw in being a vampire but that doesn't mean she is using her friends. Elena is the one that is the worse character after she became a vampire.

Well it's okay if you don't like her that's your opinion. And yes, she has her flaws. Like you said, i didn't like the whole Klaus thing either (nor do I ship Klaroline), but everyone has flaws, that what makes characters sympathetic. But i do like her and i think that she is actually a really kind person with a tender heart and so much love to give. I never said she is perfect, i said that as a character the show didn't treat her right, because they were focusing so much on Elena and these stupid romances. Doesn't matter if she is bad or good, she is one of the main characters and not just some sidekick, so they should have given her some proper storyline from the begining, that's all.

Everything she said is so damn true. People who don’t know what it’s like to be alone every day can’t even imagine what a feeling is inside this person. People who had a brighter life as you can always say so easily things. But the Fact is that no one can ever understand you and your feelings , your friends say yeah I want to help you we can do more together , but do you really think anything would change? No , because when people aren’t in the same situation as you they will never understand your Pain and nothing will ever changed. It’s so unfair. She just don’t deserved this!!

now, I hope nobody kills me for this, but I think the only person who can even come close to understanding and being with Caroline is Klaus. yeah, he did all this bad stuff to her friends and all, but despite that and all the times she has distracted him and tried to hurt him for her friends, he has always put her first and has always cared about her safety. I mean, at first he used to her to get to Stefan, but once he went to go cute her, I think he saw himself in her eyes. he could see all her loneliness and her insecurities. but he could also see that if she gave vampirism a chance, that she would blossom and become a strong, beautiful, smart woman that would be a force of nature.
he's always believed in her, challenged her, and he shows sides of himself that he didn't show with anybody else.
like even though they weren't officially together, they are a believable couple because they understand each other in a way that's extremely intimate and deep and beautiful. and it all comes down to the fact that when Klaus was human he was always second best compared to his siblings and his father never cared about him. this can be considered a parallel to how Caroline always feels second best when it comes to Elena.
and you know, I'm glad that even if it hasn't been officially confirmed, though the TVD finale did open the door to their relationship finally happening, that they both have people that can understand them. and I feel like even after a long period of time they will continue to teach each other things. like Kkuas will definitely reach Caroline how to embrace vmapire life and how to live it to its fullest capacity. but he will also teach her about the beauty of life, all the good and the bad. But Caroline, she can teach him how to be human and compassionate and to be a bit more lenient. before they spent time together, he was this ruthless hybrid killer that didn't give anybody any second chances, but she peeled back the layers and she discovered this beautiful, broken man that was looking for lifelong companionship because that was something he never felt he had.
that's why they are the best ship ever and I hope that if the Originals gets renewed for a 5th season that we can finally see what Alaric meant about Klaroline being the beginning of a completely different story.

Like would you want a person who isn't confident in their abilities, but scared of them and the damage they might do to teach you how to fight? You couldn't truly learn anything because they are too worried about hurting you. Even if it isn't klaus, i just think someone who has been alive for a while should teach her about living life as a vampire. To teach her to cope with her losses, years and years, decades even, after she has lost all her human friends and family.

But Klaus, chose Caroline over revenge. He showed her boyfriend, who hurt her in more ways than one, mercy. He was pissed at Tyler. He wanted to kill him on Caroline's behalf for hurting her and he had his own reasons. Klaus never once lied to her, he never once made her feel like she was worthless, like she was shallow. She was beautiful, and full of light to him. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Being by her side. But she chose her friends. She wanted to get away, but her loyalty made him not go. (And very minimally Tyler) but he was always choosing her over anything. He chose Caroline over Rebekah when he was in Tyler's body, but he still chose Caroline over his little sister. She came to him when he was getting ready to sacrifice his life for Hope, and said that that was all she had ever wanted. For him to be a a good man, and a good father. She knew about Mikael and his abuse, but Caroline never once used it against him to make him do something for her. (Okay, that one time, but she was fed up with him being a bad father in not talking to his daughter for 5 years)

And then klaus came along to be the first person to see the best in her immediately, and love her unconditionally and treated her the way she’s never been treated before by any other guy. As cute as steroline was, even Stefan couldn’t make up his mind for a while. With klaus it was automatic, and simple instant love and he admired her immediately. Where other guys saw her as bossy, klaus saw her as strong. When other guys found her organization and leadership of big events annoying, klaus found it endearing and one of her best traits. When other guys saw her as neurotic, klaus saw it as beautifully intense and goal oriented. Where other guys just wrote her off as being insecure, klaus saw the truth in it just being her hidden deep need to just be loved. He admired her so much it’s insane, and without question. He’s the only boy whose love she never had to fight for.
He was finally the man she wanted him to be, she finally could acknowledge her feelings for him and what she wanted, and then JP and herTO finale took that away. Caroline deserved better.

Although, she was the first choice for her Mom and she was the one for Klaus. The Steroline story line always reminded me of the Caroline from season 1 and I always saw their relationship just as the second choice for Stefan, his first choice was Elena.
Schnukii13 I disagree, you can fall out of love with somebody. Stefan fell out of love with Elena and he fell in love with Caroline. Stelena was an epic love, but they weren't true real love Steroline are, Delena are.

The line of good & bad is very blurred when you are a vampire. That is a definite lesson we are currently learning in season 8!

i relate to caroline so much, i also have a friend like that and everyone always tends to pick her over me about everything, and it hurts. and i know it's not her fault, we can't control who likes us and who doesn't, but it's so hard always being the second best or the 'shadow'. and i really can't understand why most of the times like, i'm not that bad to choose from-i'm intellectual, i'm passionate, smart, funny and although i'm not beautiful i can be cute but *i'm never the one.* it's easy to tell someone to just be themselves or to stop trying too much, or that it will change when the right person comes along (okay i don't doubt that last one, but that's also easier to say for people who have already found the right person) but they don't know what it's like and they think it's so simple.. because, what do you do when even after you've tried all these things you're still not the one? what can you say to them, then?..

I feel exactly as caroline do.... i'm never the one even if i always try soo hard... when my best friend and me are at a party i'm always judt the one who stands next to her while boys come to dance with her or tell her that she's beautiful or ask her for her number even if she just dance and even if she is in a bad mood and you can see it on her face expression... i'm always trying to smile and look nice and kind of beautiful... try to put some beautiful clothes on and get a good make up which is not too much but not too less too... but i'm never the one... and she is.... even if she doesn't even try

She's actually really sweet. Idk why the characters keep thinking she's rude on purpose. Everybody has their imperfections, she's just kinda impolite sometimes, but that doesn't mean she wants to hurt people. And maybe if her "friends" actually tried to understand her and her point of view, she would be nicer. But no, they have to keep admiring how great Elena is and forget that everyone can act bad and that even the "rude" ones have a soul.

I hate Elena so much. Caroline has been through just as much as her, and she never once shut her emotions off. One thing happened to Elena and she burns down a fucking HOUSE and shuts her emotions off and lashes out ok everyone, especially Caroline. Elena is such a whiny bitch and I'm sick of everyone babying her all the time and treating every other character like shit, especially Stefan and Damon. Stefan completely abandoned Caroline but I bet you if it was Elena, he would've come back in a heart beat. And Damon just treats everyone like shit but Elena. This show is getting on my damn nerves because they have so many good characters and they keep neglecting them for Elena, Stefan, and Damon.

you know maybe cause Elena's the main character, Maybe that's why "everything" is about her. and maybe cause she lost both her parents at once, found out she was adopted and then her real parents both die and then her aunt Jenna and then her brother... oh and she recently became a vampire and everyone is all after her hating her and not wanting her to be who she is, except for Damon, they treated her like she was a broken toy. I mean I think a little more than one thing happened before she flipped the switch. also Caroline did flip the switch after her mom died and Stefan "rejected" her. I get that Caroline has also gone through so so much, I like Caroline, trust me I relate with her. No guy ever goes after me, I never say the right thing, I'm never EVER first choice.. like ever. but its not Elena's fault that she does say the right thing as is first choice, which isn't always the case. Elena can't control others. Elena isn't perfect... she does try to be strong, and when people are hurt she tries to let them know she related to them to help them not feel alone, I do that too. but people automatically think your making it about yourself, when its absolutely not what you're doing. they both go through hard time and neither are perfect, but both are fantastic characters, dont bash on characters, cuz to be honest it says way more about you than the character

If you think about it Caroline was the toughest, Because she has been through so much and she always doubted her self. No one ever helped Caroline because they were all caught up in there lives that they could not be there for Caroline. I like Elena but whenever Elena cries or has something wrong with her they come to her rescue but when Caroline has a problem or is crying no one comes to her rescue. But Caroline still comes to everyone’s rescue and is still so kind god Caroline is the best.💙💙
She’s Grown From Season 1 To 8 Shes Become The Most Mature Young Adult Ever, Raised Two Kids & Maintained Her Life Well Even After Losing Her Mom. Whether Being A Vampires A Bad Or Good Thing It Really Changed Who She Is .. Eventually She Got What She Wanted .. Just To Lose It In The End.
