I'm so excited to do this sew-along this year. My mum bought my sissy the kit in 2015, unfortunately, my mum died before she could start the quilt. So in 2024, I have decided to do this quilt to give to my sissy and her hubby for their 20th anniversary in December 2024.
I attempted this BOM when I just STARTED sewing. And gave up very quickly. It's on my bucket list to do one day. The kit is priced right, just outside of my budget with the holidays. Maybe I'll consider it in a couple of weeks. Or if I win a gift card, LOL!

Hey, Ian! It’s a beautiful quilt. I checked out the kit . It is $273 CDN, Book $44CDN, plus 2 rulers. Of course, this doesn’t include shipping, CDN taxes, and customs duties. Sadly, it’s WAY outside my budget. Probably a good thing, since I already have far too many projects lined up for 2024. The quilting on the sample at the kit link sure is pretty. There's just something about a rainbow fade with black that's always so appealing to my eyes and brain. I actually have the hex ruler. Looks like something that will take some time but fun.

I sure hope it will be! I don’t want to count my eggs before they hatch, but it would sure be great to have another quilt to enter into competitions.
