  • In this video I show how to build your dog's focus on you even when training two dogs.
Delivering food rewards from your mouth is a great method to getting your dog to focus on you, and as you will see, when done properly, the dog's focus remains on you even when the food is dropped. Both dogs see me put the food into my mouth, yet look only toward where the treats will be coming from, my mouth, and not at my hand putting the remaining treats back into my pocket.
Treat training often creates dogs that look toward your pockets or the treat pouch. Once a dog is trained to look at your face, they will always look at your face and THAT is a huge step in cementing a relationship with your dog.

This is another example of Roberts expertise in the business. He knows how to motivate which in my option is probably the most important aspect of dog training, weather it be pet dog, cmposition dog or protection and attack.
I've seen this technique used before but not as specifically as this.

You should comment how primal feeding from the mouth is.
An adult canine comes back the kill and feeds/regurgitates food for puppies.
This is a very powerful bonding experience for our dogs.
I've never seen anyone use this, until now ! Thank you !

One of the best things I have learned from you Robert! Inspired me to buy a food dehydrator and make my own jerky. If I have and it in my mouth doesn't take much maybe an eighth inch square of beef jerky in my mouth my 9 month old Rottweiler will not break eye contact. Also I have always taught my dog's stay and getting buddy to realize a command implies stay has been a miracle. Have a great week Robert and a big shout out did Dwayne Goofy and Mya

This is exactly what my puppy needs. Focus. Working on it. By the way what was that broken glass sound at the end.

How do I teach my dog to catch with her mouth like this

  • @BBAMEG

I taught my boxer to take baby carrots from my mouth. I'll put the carrot in my mouth and she won't take it until I tell her "take" and she very gently takes it from my mouth.
