  • Short video review on a new generation of Swing Paragliders Mirage RS plus speedwing.
    There are some minor difference between this and a previous model but the main thing we found is that mirage rs and mirage rs plus are smaller than we expected.
    Big thanks to Hamish Brissett for the wing to test / hamish.brissett

    Keep in mind that wile sizes may be similar flat, they could differ a little more projected due to different arcing...

      Thanks! We are checking the flat area. Mirage RS is less arched then Rapidos... So it might be bigger projected then rapidos 🙂 but no))

      @@naiumalapaca8541 Thanks mate, yet what is a non sensible wing? Are you addressing the weight/sq m ratio, or wing type/design?

    Thanks for the nice review...I fly the Mirage rs 11 and 9.5. Do you think in these sizes the canopy is smaller than the size on the paper too? So rs 9.5 would be similar to Rapidos 8? The dive with completely open speedsystem is very steep, true..but if you hold the wing just a bit on touch on the brakes it´s fine...

    • @ProSpeedflying
      @ProSpeedflying  Před 5 lety

      We've just checked RS11 vith flame 9 and looks like RS 11 is more like 10 (or a bit smaller). On the bigger sizes this 1-1.5 metres are not such a big difference than on 8-8.5

    onestly i have an 8.5 mirage rs and it flys more than my old 10m fazer.... In my opinion I believe that you shouldnt focus that mutch on the number but in the real glide of each

    • @ProSpeedflying
      @ProSpeedflying  Před 4 lety

      Fazer is a beginner wing it doesn't fly compare to mirage.
      I don't focus on numbers. I've checked 6.5 rapidos and 8rs. They flew the same speed and sensitivity. So we thought that people need to know when they are choosing the size of their future mirage. It is not only my opinion and the same situation is with the bigger sizes.

    Hi Alex. Is it possible that Swing gives the sizes in the non-projected area and Ozone in the projected (naturally smaller) area? According to Swing homepage the RS 8 PRO has a projected area of 7,06m^2... just a thought

    • @tayisiyaivchenko1980
      @tayisiyaivchenko1980 Před 5 lety

      We don't compare numbers - we compare wings of the same "flat area". We put 5 different wings of 8 meters together and 4 of they were almost the same but RS was substantially smaller.
