From the series of house sketching, I did this sketch that took me about an hour to finish.

Copic Markers Toner grey 1, 3, 5, 7, Cool grey 3, 5, 7, earth tones E55, E35, E57, E59, Warm grey 3, 5,
Touch markers blue grey 3, 5, 7, 9
Highlights: sharpie white extra fine point
Black color pencil

I always look for inspiration on many things, sometimes as a direct source for the sketch, other times just as influence my work, but then there are times when I just grab a white paper and sketch as it goes deciding as the sketch evolves

I've always wondered: Do architects just sketch these based on visual appeal or do you keep functional aspects in mind like passive energy / heat management, even illumination etc.

This sketches meant to be a quick exploration on the general concept. Some times, functional aspects are taken ito account aor at least considered in relation to the visual appeal. For instance, site orientation, light, real site and natural entourage are considered for specific projects. There exist several types of sketches with different porpoises.
