- I took 4 lucky giveaway winners for a flight on-board Biman Bangladesh Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner. These winners are really passionate about aviation but have never flown once in their life before. I am glad to offer them this opportunity to enjoy the latest aircraft of Biman Bangladesh; the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
We flew from Dhaka to Chittagong and had a day out. Later we returned by Biman Dash8-Q400 back to Dhaka with cockpit night takeoff and landing footage.
The next day I flew out of Dhaka on Biman B787 Dreamliner again to Muscat in Business Class. I was met by very nice surprises from the crew and able to film some great cockpit takeoff and landing footage.

In this trip report video, we enjoy flying with Biman Airlines on board their most modern and most recently purchased plane, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. We have some of you guys on board for company too, letting us know what you think of the upgraded and modern entertainment systems and other features. We were pleased to make, what was for some of you, your very first flight very special. See inside the 787 Dreamliner cockpit and watch as we examine the sophisticated entertainment touch screens of economy class, before receiving a surprise upgrade to business class, courtesy of Biman airlines, where we examine the reclining and lie flat nature of these more premium seats.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner first entered in to actual commercial service in October 2011 with Air Nippon Airways and delivers the significant advantage of being 20% more fuel efficient than its predecessor the Boeing 767.
The model is highly complex and advanced, being the first ever airliner to have its core structure composed primarily of composite materials, having almost entirely electrical flight systems and even having special noise reducing technology in its jet engines, the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 and the General Electric GEnx.
The plane typically seats 234 when business, premium economy and economy classes are provided and, Biman Airlines being no exception, most airlines choose to arrange the seats in three columns of seat rows with each row containing three seats.
Our first flight is a short 30 minute journey from Dhaka to Chittagong, arriving in Shah Amanat international airport. After a highly enjoyable and fun tour of Chittagong, including a great visit to the beach and friendly interaction with the Bangladeshi locals, we head back to Dhaka on our second flight in the Bombardier Q400, naturally also with Biman airlines.
Having finished our extended tour of Bangladesh and our focus on Biman airlines, we head to Muscat, Oman in business class. Before going on this third and final flight of the video, there is just time to examine the Biman Maslin executive lounge and all of the tasty food it has to offer for travellers. Up in the air, we enjoy examining the traditional sari print decorations on the inside walls of the plane, sampling a wide variety of entertainment, including music videos and live television, before a surprise well-wishing celebration by Biman staff, complete with cake!

I haven't flown with Biman nor with any SAARC airlines. BUT it seems to me that Biman is way better than PIA, Jet Airways, and Air India. Lots of potential to be Sri Lanka's new competitor in the region.
Israel Amor PIA has incompetent leadership in the last few years which led to its down fall, but it has made quite a comeback in the last 11 months under the new government/ management. Existing jets are being overhauled and new jets are being purchased along with new routes being introduced as well. All in all, I’m really impressed by the Biman Airline, it can easily be one of the best airline in Asia.

I heard that 787 dreamliner is same like 737 max for they put new computing and new program into it. Cmiiw. My question is who will make sure the ground staff will input the system correctly? I read in some comments said might be some ground staff cant follow too fast for the new inputing system.. they need more time for training.. but they been chase by fast market needs, so got no time for mastering... is that true?

once upon a time........ most of the people thaught that biman bangladesh airlines one of the wrost airlines but since last 5 years they tried to upgrade their service with safety and comfort. Boeing 787/ boeing 777/ boeing 737 and also upcoming airbus a380 are the backbone of biman bangladesh airlines. Last year they got 5 star airlines for safety. Good Luck Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Sorry, as far as I know, they didn’t book any a380, and there is no chance to book that plane in future.
But it is still true that they are trying very hard to upgrade their service.
They book five Boing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts. And two of them already in service. Remaining will be coming soon.

I think it's dependent on what Biman plane you get for the flight. For example, this 787 is very good, but other planes may not live up to this...

@@subashh newer is always better. Just look at how the IFE system works and the cabin is designed between an older and newer plane.
That has a significant effect on how you perceive the entire flight, including the customer service.
It started changing about 5-6 years ago when government did a crackdown on corrupted Biman Bangladesh management so save it from millions of dollar loss every year. The service got way better and Biman is now profitable

Among the lucky 4 people, It's a wonderful thing to see my close junior brother Khalid Hasan Asif, who is standing Sam Chui's left end. Asif was really very happy & excited after getting a chance to meet his fav rivewer. When he came back from the trip, he described about his whole travel experiences in details with pictures, videos. And that was pretty awesome! I was eagerly waiting for this video. I finally saw it. Lots of love for Sam Chui. I hope Sam Chui will again travel Bangladesh!

I haven't been to the Biman Bangladesh Boeing 787, I heard the announcement from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
I'm very excited to see this glorious Boeing 787, the interior isn't that bad from the Economy Class. In my opinion, I think they could rebrand their interior fleet's (such as B737, Q400 and B777) like the Boeing 787.

Dreamliner is truly stunning. My first experience was London to Delhi and then Doha to Johannesburg. That was truly wonderful.
What a great video, it feels like that airline is like a family business or something. I work with people from Bangladesh in hotels and they are lovely friendly people by nature. I’d love to try a flight with Biman.
Much nicer than Biman's 777. It's also very cool to see 4 aviation fans being able to go on their first flight. This brings back memories of my first flight (DC9, ZRH to BSL) with Swissair in 1988. Flying wasn't all that common back then. Our school class was on a day long field trip to Zurich and at the end of the day the teacher surprised us and told us that our parents had arranged for everyone to fly back. The whole class was super excited.

I live beside Dublin airport and would see cars of people lining up and recording video footage and taking photos of he planes taking off and landing and I never really understood what made it so interesting to them, living beside the airport all my life it was just a normal sight to me. Since discovering this channel I'm becoming an AV GeeK and this is my favourite vlog getting to see the cockpit and what the pilots go through

Great video, Biman has come a long way in the aviation industry, Kevin Steele transformed the airline for the better and it’s really gone from strength to strength from there. Biman I think was one of the last airlines to operate the DC10 - 30, it’s lovely to hear they have the Dreamliner.
