An Ounce of Prevention 5 Grams at a Time (Rust Prevention)

A tip for tool box rust prevention. I will use desiccant packs in the drawers of my tool boxes to prevent some flash rusting during humid and temperature swing times of the year. I would normally scavenge them when I see them in packages but I finally broke down and bought some. These are 5 gram size they come bigger and I will be buying some of the bigger ones for my larger tool boxes.

Hi Mr. Phil! I try to do the same... I try my best to write the date I toss them into the drawer or tool box... also run a dehumidifier 24/7/365 - But Rust is like the Alabama Crimson Tide... hard to beat 🙂 Good Stuff and Excellent Tip!
