Rabies virus is transmitted through direct contact (such as through broken skin or mucous membranes in the eyes, nose, or mouth) with saliva or brain/nervous system tissue from an infected animal.
Dogs are the main source of human rabies deaths, contributing up to 99% of all rabies transmissions to humans. Rabies can be prevented through vaccination of dogs and prevention of dog bites.
After a potential exposure of people to a rabid animal, they can seek post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), which consists of immediate, thorough wound washing with soap and water for 15 minutes, a series of rabies vaccinations and, if indicated, administration of rabies immunoglobulin or monoclonal antibodies, which can be life-saving.
Please visit a doctor for Post Exposure Prophylaxis if you have been bitten by a dog (even if it’s a pet dog with no history of vaccination). Do spread awareness about this💯

Nothing can save him after some days doctor poisoned him because of he alive for a month it's is very painful
Rabies causes hydrophobia in the last stages. It indicates that the child would succumb to death because of fear of water. And the video also clearly shows how afraid the boy was to drink even a small glass of water.

What if cat bites ?
This kid is from Maharashtra in Pune, we have a doctor and he sent this video on the community group. He died the day later with seizures, and later, his immune system and organs failed. I know dogs are really cute and friendly, but don't get too close since this may result in getting bitten and if left untreated, you could be this person suffering from rabies in the video. So take care and treat yourself immediately after being bitten by an animal. Consult a doctor as soon as possible and stay safe 😊

I got vaccinated two times, just for stray cat scratches. Thanks to my parents for always rushing to the hospital. God , Rabies is a nightmare!

Was the stray cat scratch too deep or a normal scratch?
Even in last stage of rabies, patient can be saved. One rabies infected patient was put in medical coma and kept in life support, so, that body can take time to build immunity and fight rabies. That patient got saved without vaccination. But, this kind of treatment will be available only with experienced doctors and advanced technology.

I was bitten by a dog when I was 6-7 year old. Thankfully I didn’t get infected with rabies. My mother treated me at home and I was well. The bite scars are still as fresh as when I got them.

@@prithvirajjadhav5500 He is dead. After the bite, its actually avoidable if the injections are taken on time within a certain period of time, but if that time period passes, its guaranteed death. This kid died as well due to organ failure and seizures after contraction rabies from the dog bites he recieved.

I had a friend who had a chakki, there used to work a guy, probably in his early 20s , we were just 10-12 years old, he used to play with us, take us to 'mela' s and even bought us things to eat or play with
Sadly he was an orphan and lived alone, to feel loved he used to take care of us and work in chakki to make for a living, he had also bonded with the family of my friend, so he was like a helping hand there
Then one day he was bitten by a wild dog, which had rabies, and bhaiya as he didn't know anything about the gravity of the situation nor did he tell anyone because of the lack of awareness, he might have thought ye toh thik hojayega kuch nhi hota,
But after sometime, he started disappearing, he did not come to play with us anymore, some friends of his in the chakki told us ki "wo bimaar hai, aajkal khana nhi khata"
After some time, it got serious, as we were kids they did not tell us what happened at that time, adults told us that he had moved to a different city for work, but it seemed so strange as he had already built a 'family' here
Later, we got to know the truth and the horrific symptoms he showed, he did not eat anything or drink any thing,
When he developed hydrophobia, it was so traumatising to even see him react to it, he was so helpless, i cannot even imagine what a person feels like, it is so depressing

I think we need to spread awareness at a bigger level to ensure that these cases do not occur in great numbers, and one day be eradicated totally.
I don't know whether his parents knew about Rabies or not, but at least they should've approached a doctor for once.

But main question is still to be asked and still to be answered. Why this child was so feared to tell the parents in the first place.? Lets be real, most of us have heard from parents “Agar kahi chot lga kr aya tange tod dungi teri”. Every one of us at some point in our childhood try to hide some wounds from parents or atleast very scared to tell parents about that wound. It doesn't matter if the parents are saying/scolding kids for good or bad intention.
And this boy looks from lower middle family so I can only imagine how much he had fear to tell his parents about dog bite.
If you gonna threaten or scare your kids then don't be surprised if one day he'll hide something like this from you aswell b'cuz out of fear from you. And you know Rabies is a ticking Time bomb and a silent killer with no cure. After this you can do nothing but to see him die agonizing de@th. After this you can only blame your parenting methods and cry or feel sad cuz your child won't gonna live for more than 10 days.

It is not hydrophobia, it's an extremely painful neck spasm, that makes him fear drinking water or swallowing anything. Even if you think of anything drinkable you will get spasms. Sadly the boy died.
What's most haunting about rabies is you know you're gonna die.
Last year I had grade 3 bite from dog and the video of this kid still haunts me even after getting all vaccination of rabies

@@Brokensoul443 Hydrophobia, aquaphobia and Thalassophobia are different things. Thats Thalassophobia you're talking about which is fear of large and deep water bodies. But aquaphobia is fear of any amount of water, that means fear of drinking, bathing etc..etc.
However both of these phobias are psychological fear only that means you can somehow overcome this irrational fear but that's not the can in Hydrophobia. Hydrophobia is psychological as well as physical condition caused by rabies virus in which it is impossible to overcome this water fear. Even if you somehow mange to drink water (which you can't), the water will expelled violently from your mouth.
Not only you neck muscles get spasms even thinking about water but you'll drown on your own saliva.

Rabies is through rabid dogs. Not all dogs have Rabies. If your dog is vaccinated and does not mingle with other unknown (possible rabid) dogs, it is pretty safe.
