Thanks mate, simple but effective demonstration with the cardboard box & to build a wooden box, wth 2 holes to snugly fit around the ducting going into & out of the box will retain more noise from the fan.👍
Bro.....you are the man right now to the third power......i literally thinking damn my inline fan is way louder then i wish it was and the cardboard box is major since i already had it connected directly to the filter ... thanks bro
I have that exact fan built inside a wooden box, with 6 feet of flexible aluminum ducting running from the intake to a window. And the intake is actually quite loud, but it is still loud overall.
i use a 20x20x1 air conditioner return filter and the grill for mounting it installed on a plywood box with the fan inside. it filters the air and keeps the fan much quieter. I have the inside of the box carpeted. filtering the dust and mold spores out of your circulated air increases the commercial quality of your stuff exponentially as an added bonus.
Come on dude whats the point of playing Music will testing (plus Music with bass)
I don’t get why they used cheap “sound reduction” garbage foam that has extremely low absorption values (but it looks
Sound level measurements taken with a decibel meter would make this otherwise informative video complete.
why not get a 100M fan then its to stop the sound not get a bigger fan that is lame
Good tips there. So many people just put up with the noise when it can be better. The bigger fan with reduced speed was the best.
Save your money, build a wooden box with clearance on all sides and insulate it?
You should revisit this topic I think :)
I fix the noise and heat easy.. Buy one ac infinity t6 cloudline... Problem solved
Speedster makes fan buzz/humm why is this?
You are incredibly informative and you packed a lot of real set-up information into a short video! Thank you.

Wish I found you guys before I bought other brand. Now I know where to buy quality, which is whay I Want.
For ducting insulation I recommend sweat pants. They come in pairs for both the intake and exhaust sides.
Excellent tips thx
