How 🤔 did u get that red dragon 🐉
i always level the same way every time: first character goes and does every quest in every zone and i take my time reading the quest texts and all of that stuff. and then every other character after that just blasts through as fast as possible XD
Same
Is there also a dungeon quest for each zones dungeon like in SL?
Same. I enjoy experiencing the new zones still after 17 years with this game.
Same. Same.
but the pacing gets so bad, maybe that ain't a problem really but I did every quest in the first zone and I was 65 already.. You will be 70 in the 2nd zone if you do every quest and then you have to run around level 70 doing all the rest. Is it worth it? Or just do campaign quest and pace it out better?
i find more joy in finding stuff in the world naturally, like the glyphs, while leveling. makes the experience more enjoyable for me just having to stumble across them
A few of those glyphs were hard to find even with a map. I'd not mind if they weren't so necessary to make dragon riding useful. I hate having to play a game of Wordle waiting for my vigor to replenish. To much like the old autorun in the Barrens.
I'm going to do every single sidequest and enjoy the new zones.
We'll all be 70 and burned out soon enough ^^
My plan is the slow and steady main story + side quests with gathering and the odd pvp and dragon riding once its available
A note that there is a cap on the amount of experience you can get from crafting now. You'll still get EXP from it for a bit, but you are capped at ~700k experience from crafting. That's still a few levels worth of EXP, but I don't think it's possible to go from 60-66 anymore.
fun detected
good
I heard it can take you from 68.2-70? It has that changed ?
Kelani you are always pleasant as well as informative to listen to. Cheers for the cool content mate!
I typically pick up and complete all side quests as they become available and before continuing the main quest so I think I should be fine. Can't wait to get started!
@@FrostyDuc Just finished the 1st zone last night and all side quests I could find. And all the dragon races and glyphs. I'm at 65. Maybe I'll be 70 at the end of the 2nd zone lol.
Thanks for the video, I always do completionist (main story, side quest, explore everything) on my main.. alts I do shortcuts.
I didnt really know the rares on the map give u bonus xp really nice to know, thx! Think I'll focus on main quest, prof gathering/crafting, killing some rares, and occasional bonus objectives. :) I'm really enjoying the more interactive flying style and prof gathering since theres special nodes. Glad I put herb and mining on a dracthyr or at lesst something I can heal myself on cuz the burning nodes hurt lol
I do any and every single quest in front of me in order. Always have since TBC
Thank you kelani for all your videos and guides and hopefully many more to come.
Great video! Can’t wait for release later today!
good guide. in beta I was doing everything and was at end of 2nd zone and was already lvl 67.
Thanks for pointing out you need to do more than just the main storyline I was for sure going to do that and get stuck!
If you level with WM on, you might not need the extra quests, depending on the WM exp bonus.
If ur into profs even if u are not pick up 2 gathering profs. They sell as mats for more gold on the AH and it gives u extra xp on ur toons. :)
I'll do as I always have done - Do everything available in a zone, and then move on to the next. I like the scenery, and now we'll be able to skip most of it (flying) I'll need to make more time to see the sights.
I'm getting all of the coins right at the beginning and it's making dragon riding a sweet sweet experience!
You only get to experience the zones and everything in a new expansion the first time so this time I will try to take the scenic route and not rush to max level.
With this xpac, I didn't even realize when I hit 70. I was just off doing something here and there beside quests and somehow realized I just turned 70... it's definitely fast this time
😃Thank you again for the info.
thank you for perfect summary :)
I'll just have fun with it and explore, do side quests and basically complete each zone before I move on. Since blizzard took out day 1 M0 dungeons, it doesn't feel like I miss out on stuff when I do choose to just enjoyably level.
I'm not sure if I should get double gathering though and then swap at max level, since I'll explore a lot.
I’m not to sure what to do with professions aswell like you thought just do two gathering and make as much money that way then switch one! Same with the questing I only really get to play couple hours every other day so will just take my time and enjoy the zones!
M0 are available Day 2
@@brinks7801 Thanks for the correction, I meant to write day one ^^
Tyvm!
Probably gonna take my time with my first character. Last time I rushed through I came I felt unsatisfied at the end of it all
As I finish all the quests in a zone before I mean to the next it won't effect me. It's about the journey.
Thanks for the video
That bow transmog looks so cool.
I'll level as I always do: do all the main quests and sidequests as long as I am motivated which usually is all the time if the stories are even remotely interesting.
And Dragonflight looks really interesting!
Yay Dragon Flight!!!!! Sooooo Excited!!!!
stock up on gliders if you plan on doing war mode. because dragon riding in pvp has an ability that lets you knock other players off their mounts.
That’s awesome, good tip!
wpvp doesnt exist lol, last 2 expansions leveling with wm on never gotten into a fight once on one of the biggest EU realms
@@pr4zaVIDZ roll alliance for wpvp. I guess you are horde and there are 3 times as many horde in warmode so you rarely see alliance.
I think I'll do only the main quest while picking herbs and ores along the way, and then using them, do some crafting until 70
i will levlel like always. do every quest and some dungeons from time to time^^
also pvp. people say that we're missing the story by doing that, but it gets us to lvl cap fast so we can do more end-game stuff, and leisurely going through the story line in between those end-game activities. anyway...
I’m going to just enjoy the time leveling and upgrading professions
Worth noting when Guild Wars 2 launched (core) the max-level speedrun world's first was won by crafting only.
I focused on the main story. Did like one or two dungeons and I didn't have an issue
On the beta I finished the Story at 69.75ish. Then, before I hit 70, when I logged in other characters I got the choice to start in any zone via the map, etc.
This was 5 days ago.
So you had the 18% experience buff then
@@madhudson1 I don't think the 18th Anniversary buff exists on beta.
@@madhudson1 My point being (regardless of xp or xp gain speed), that it is the story campaign that unlocks the "threads of fate" system for alts, not level 70.
@@skipmcilvaine it does, but I see you were talking about the threads of fate
great vid
Thanks bro please answer this you can level an alt just by gathering ? No quests
Given it's a pretty self-contained expansion, this will be the first time in 15 years I'll be reading the quest text all the way to max
If you level up as double gatherer (Herbalism/Mining) but decide to keep those professions at max level, is there a use for the Artisan's Mettle (which are BoP)?
Yes, you will need it as currency to make crafting orders. Crafters will not want to spend their mettle, you'll need to offer yours.
The higher end profession tools require Artisan's Mettle to craft, and you will need to provide it.
Wait, can you use normal flying mounts in Dragonflight? Even if it's later at max level?
I said I would play again when they brought back flying. They did so, so I will do my part. I could really use something to play right now.
Thanks
Great video thank you! I plan to take my time and enjoy it, for me the prior expansion was a huge let down for me and the lowest ranked for enjoyment out of all the WoW expansions - so really want to clear the pallet and enjoy Dragonflight.
There is a super nerf on the profession leveling strat iirc. Naowh posted something about that on twitter.
Would be nice if you could check if that is true and reiterate if it is or isnt a possibility now.
other then when you get dismounted and a Goblin Glider can save you from falling to your death or falling down directly where you got dismounted. Goblin Gliders will hold their value.
Dumb question but is this the default UI?? I like it!! And thank you Kelani!!!
The new quest icons are god tier, I would always rage when I accidentally forgot a quest at the hub 20min run away in BFA.
In summary: why be a sweatlord instead of just chillin and playin with your bros
do you have to do the whole main storyline on every alt?
Are you referring to the main campaign? Or the additional one that pops up (0/9) once you finish the main campaign? Guildie just finished the main campaign at lvl 67 doing ONLY storyline quests and skipping all side quests
Do we know how much time does it takes to clean 100% of quest in DF ?
Don't know if this has been said main quest line can be finished at 68 at earliest as I 3nded up doing it
Mulțumim!
instead of using goblin gliders, i'd recommend using an evoker until you unlock dragonriding and then swap to whatever class you were planning on maining. the racial soar will help a lot while you don't have any other way of flight so its a good way to speed up the dragonriding unlock and since dragonriding is accountwide you can just go from there.
Gizus Christ stop with that no brain min max, its a new expansion just enjoy it the way it is
lol
@@Ithorian its not minmaxing cuz you'd still have to take the time to level your evoker some and then go back and repeat those quests on your main. its just a way to unlock dragonriding a tad faster but is overall not any better on time (probably slower overall really)
Never really bothered with proffs before. If I abandon my Eng now, pick up minining to level, then abandon and re-pick up Eng will I have all my previous Eng progress?
the first time craft exp doesn't work anymore, they fixed it 2 days ago or something, not sure why it's still in the video
It's capped.
@@user-ct9yk2zq1m he specifically mentions that someone leveled to 66 in 30minutes, that's not possible anymore.
@@Fluffman13 you can get from 60 to 63 or from 68.2 to 70. So technically it's still a fast leveling, just capped at 700k xp now.
It does still exist, but all of the lower-level crafts only give 1 Artisan's Mettle now, instead of 5. This was done to discourage people from dropping and picking up new professions just for the mettle. The xp for these first crafts (and maybe all crafts and gathers??) still give xp below level 70.
Collect and complete it all!
Not gonna lie, plenty of folks are stressing speed-leveling. While RPG lovers are gonna love the questing, and get a little big of entertainment at the expense of others as the speed levelers will have to detour and actually do some side-quests if they want to cap quickly. Or pick up professions a few folks been trashing on people for doing for a couple expansions now.
Took me 8 hours to hit 70. All I did was quest and a dungeon here and there. Having a blast so far. Dragon Riding is so nice to have
How do you beat the bear and gutruk the tough? That's where I'm stuck
Only gotta wait another 30 hours...
Dragonflight comes out on a Wednesday in kiwiland.
Do alts need to go through campain also or is campaign account bound like dragon riding and rep
No, once one of your characters finishes the campaign, all of your current and future characters are offered a "threads of fate"-like option in the Wingrest Embassy where they initially arrive in the Dragon Isles.
I hope to make it at least 60% on the initial loading screen before I goto bed tonight, wish me luck!
DF here we go
Everyone keeps saying that EXP requirements are high and that you might need more XP before continuing onward... However, I just leveled to 70 on Beta about a week or two ago and I hit level 70 before even beginning the last zone. I honestly had the experience of, damn, the leveling is a bit too fast and you outpace the zones.
finished the campaign at level 67, thats why i need to know how to level without the campaign.. maybe its updated?
Get ready boys ! Headed straight for pvp
Whats the outro song? (name)
Ok, so I have lv60 rog, druid, Pala, mage, priest, lock, evoker... I have no idea which one to level up First and main...
Pet battles give you fast xp about a side quest each
they nerfed first craft bonuses. you have a cap to how much xp you can get from them in total. 700kxp total or so. 2 levels or so
Mostly out of Shadowlands, flying also helps just have to wait about 11 hours and 15 mins. Main, side, area, crafting and dungeons so the old way and not Shadowlands way that was painful. that and doing it on alt 20ish was called let me live forever so I don’t die and come to the zone of death. Goodbye maw may I NEVER see it again
I’ll probably wait til tomorrow. I’ll be shocked if I can actually log in at 6
I will not be getting the dragonriding glyphs as I level...as soon as I get dragonriding, I will go get all of the glyphs. According to the guide it only takes 30 minutes to an hour and then it is done....then go back to leveling. Wowhead has the guide using tomtom
I’m shadowlands I leveled once purely through mining nodes.
Scenic route for me fa 'sho!
Didn't they cap the total xp you get from First Time Craft to 700k?
Has anyone chain ram dungeons ? How inefficient is that?
does skinning give xp too?
Yes it does, has for years
So...no exp from pvp?
will 1-60 still be as fast after launch?
Not quite as fast because we won't have the anniversary buff but yes the exp nerfs are permanent
@@00warwick correction, the new xp curve is even BETTER than when we had the 68% xp boost
I feel like the leveling has been the same for the last 3 expansions minus almost immediate flying.
Lol, it’s going to be a ruff couple of days.
True.
Just use or buy a ingame levelling guide addon, problem fixed😜
TBC/WotLK @ Blizzard "We make quest hubs separate so zones dont become overcrowded"
Post-Draenor WoW = Linear questing on steroids.
I WANT to take the scenic route but I can't stand the proto drake look...
Hey brother is this still relevant to levelling in wow?
If they don't make a class of dracthyr where I can look like Sendrax I will be so disappointed. To not have a dragon knight tank is just wrong.
I love how Dragon Riding made every single other of the 5000 mounts obsolete
I have some salt about that buuuuut tbh I really love the new flying mechanic of DF. Its real fun and an interesting new take on the flying mech thats not the same and I think they did it on the perfect xpac too; dragon themed and riding on the dragons of the isle itself is a super cool unique thing thats specific to the xpac itself. Although I do hope they eventually come up with something such as toggling if u want to fly the DF flying style OR normal flying regardless of the mount u are on. I hope they do something like that at some point that way if ppl become bored with the new way they can revert to the old method and use whatever mount they'd like in the process to show off. Theyre pros and cons to it so hopefully they figure something else out later but for now I'm enjoying it its much more interactive
Well, they don't. You can only use dragon riding in the isles.
You wouldn't need goblin gliders either way, Evokers and DH's can glide, and that makes up 92.6% of all players right now.
That's definitely not true. I rarely see another evoker.
If only we could play the expansion,
i like this expansion but i couldnt care less for story while leveling i watched all cinematics and everything listened all dialogues but no emotion in me... 0
do you use an addon for the minimap?
I wish I wanted to play...I just can't muster the need.
I remember when dungeons gave xp
Being able to actually play helps the leveling process too LOL
The only thing that worries me are the words 'Linear' and 'on rails' that sounds kind of boreing to me especially when it comes to alts, I'd much rather go where and do what I wanted when I wanted, it all sounds rather constrictive. I'll give it a go, there's always WOTLK Classic to fall back on if it's a dumpster fire.
