Great video pet , Brian here from Ireland , I love watching you work, I learn so much , if I get close to your workmanship I'll be over the moon . Your very professional and thorough.
Thats very kind pal, I can honestly say its just 2 things, practice and enjoy what you do. 😉
Hope your keeping well!
Love the background music. You know Moerman makes a 6" squeegee now? Even has a 6" fliq pad....😊
I knew about the 6 inch channel but wasn't aware of a 6 inch fliq washer. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
@@TradMan just got mine the other day. It looks so tiny...🤣
Nice action buddy 😊🌈
😉👍🏻
I'm sat on my lunch break from cleaning windows watching someone else clean windows. Send help

Trad man making window cleaning look like an art form
There's just something cool about trad window cleaning 😊👍🏻
Hi Pete
Yes I totally agree and stick to your price and a business man once said to me which has stuck for many years .. anyone can be a busy fool. Keep up the great vids. 👍
Absolutely 😊👍🏻
Great video Pete. 👍
Thanks dude!!
Love watching your videos very satisfying:) what's that brown head called is it used for webs etc?
Unger cob web duster
I’m experimenting with putting the soap in the water vs on the applicator. How often do you dunk in the water vs putting more soap on?
If I dunk the applicator I normally pop on a bit more soap
Finished up until Monday Peter. Thought id indulge in a wee Trad - Man video to wind down. Love the pole work there my good man & not to mention that tiddly bespoke squeegee you were using there. Top stuff, great techniques mate....
Thanks buddy!
I'm still working 😅 doing a construction clean up. Its dark now but still cleaning with all the lights on. I'm gonna need a strong beverage this evening 🤣😅
@@TradMan Too right mucker. A wee cold yin or two will be deserved.....

@@TradMan Steady now Peter . 😆
@@JasonDunlop247 LOLZ its a long shot I know 🤣😉
Hi mate can you do a video on your tool belt as you have a lot of didn’t tools
Sure thing, I did do a video last year on it but it has changed a little since then so maybe worth doing an updated video 👍🏻
Great video, can I ask, if you had a first clean and the frames were very dirty with all of the vents above the windows full of dirt also, how would you clean the frames initially, trad or wfp? If trad, what would you use?
Many thanks 👍
I like to wash everything down with wfp first, gets rid of the worst of it, then do it traditionally to get a perfect finish. Remember to charge accordingly 😊😉
Thanks for the reply, what about those events that leak dirty water for ever? Do you avoid those or blast them clean?
@@VAUXSAFC I clean them to, if you wash all the frames, vents and panes first, then pack your wfp away and get the trad gear, and start from the first window you did then the vent should of stopped dripping and you can wipe everything dry, and get that perfect finish.
If you used just wfp then you would have to say to the customer, "phone me when you get streaks" which with vents is probably going to happen.
Hence why I finish with the trad method, leaves everything dry and perfect and no gambling that you may get a call from the customer.
It's a higher level of service though so price it well 👍🏻
Thanks, so do the vents ever get to a point where you can WFP them without having to revisit? If not I guess a mixture of trad and wfp is the way to go😁
@@VAUXSAFC cleaning over the vents is fine on maintenance cleans, just that first clean can be an issue.
But sometimes you do get jobs that just never come up well using wfp, can be vents or perished seals causing lines or spotting.
The wfp is great for most regular maintenance jobs and using it as a pre wash for really dirty first cleans.
Some people use wfp only and simply tell the customers, if any streaks let me know. For me this is not good enough, personally I want to know the job is 100% before I drive away, but again it's charged properly for that extra attention to detail
With soap do you work with
Fairy liquid 👍🏻
I bought the liquidator channels and excelerator handles. I get nothing but streaks. I've tried your recommendations on soap and using light pressure but nothing works for me. I tried ettore rubber and moerman rubber. Any tips??? so frustrated
If you send me a few pics of your squeegee to mrtradman@hotmail.com
I'll have a look and see if the tool is looking ok
If you send a picture of each end and a picture of the top 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Do u have fixed end clips with boiling water or using Just the clips how they came?
The end clips are the 2.0 version, stays via a small plastic lip inside the clip that clicks into a groove on the aluminium channel
What size channel you used here ? 30cm for the majority on house 1?
Yeah for the smaller windows was 12 inch and the bigger panes I use 16 inch.
@@TradMan The Moerman channel is not 12 and 16 inches! Where do you get these channels from?
They do 12 inches just not 16
The 16 I made by cutting an 18 inch down
👍👍
Thanks dude!
Hi Trad Man, great content - keep it up 😃
Just a question, do you do any WFP at all, or all traditional? Would going fully WFP not allow you to work faster and more efficiently resulting in more turnover?
Reason I’m asking is I’m in the process of starting in the business myself and just looking to gain as much knowledge as possible - thanks ✌🏻😎
A good majority of my work is traditional but I do have wfp jobs that aren't suitable to do traditionally. I price the work accordingly so because trad can take a bit longer to do for jobs that are above ground floor, I will charge more than most local wfp companies. We get a lot of customers ask specifically for a traditional clean, so it's actually become high in demand with very few able to offer a good traditional service, so again we charge accordingly.
Put it this way I've compared notes with many wfp only guys and I often make the same and sometimes more doing trad, less jobs per day perhaps done but for the same money or more, sounds good to me 😉
Hi Pete, good vid bro, residential is not always wfp, you must know your customers and offer both services, especially traditional window cleaning, anyone can splash and dash and do a rubbish job because they want to make more money,,, but to tight on preserving their pure water to do a decent job. Isn't that what they are getting paid for.. reputation is on the line 💪👍👍
Trixxy Kicks pure water can be liquid gold if used correctly.. or it can be fools gold if not used correctly..😂💰
@@FlashTechEngineering Very true
What type of brush are you using from 9:55 to go over the frames/soffitts?
Unger cobweb duster
I’m finding that when I put the amount of soap on my applicator that I just watched you put on yours, I have an enormous amount of suds. To the point where there is just too much to mop up. What am I doing wrong?
If you send me a video via my Trad-Man facebook page I'll have a look and see if we can get you sorted 👍🏻
TRAD - MAN THE WINDOW CLEANER aww man.....homework!
Yup! Get to it lol
Hi trad man can I get the new Unger black series sleeve on its own, or do I have to buy the handle with it.
Best bet to is to either check out window cleaning warehouse website or give window cleaning warehouse a ring / email and ask.
I would think they should sell the sleeve separately but best to check 😉
I bought sleeve separate from windowcleaningstuff.
@@TradMan thanks Peter
@@johnlockhart2981 thankyou John
So your not cutting angels on the rubber anymore? just a flush cut, and your good to go with the liquidator? I might give it a try soon ;-)
Yup give it a go ☺
Hey. What soap do you use? And how much?
I use fairy liquid
Usually a line of soap on each side of the applicator.
It costs about £1 a bottle roughly
I’m confused 😂 why was the gutter running along middle of the window 😂
Haha!! Somebody didn't design that building to well eh
But I think you show how to do only very easy works . No fly screen, clean panels even no French style glasses.
