What is Detention time? Detention time is when a trucker gets paid for sitting or waiting at a Shipper or a Receiver. After 2 hours of waiting that's when Detention Time starts to kick in. Anyone that would even look at this video knows what ddmetention time, detention is payed when a druver is delayed at a shipper or receiver and only gets payed if the broker decides to pay which is only 10% of the time, its not up to a carrier and most carriers steal that money that 99% of contracts state should be $250 or $50 per hour

This mechanic has never heard of that term. Don't seem right the the driver's are the ones getting the shitty end of the stick every time 👎🇨🇦🔧

@@MerdzicTrans I've been at it for quite a long time now and I remember the days an owner operator could could cut out a good career and make some doh. They had to and did work and put in the hours but did alright. Now adays it's not possible for the one guy. The expense is thru the roof but the rates dropped. Being at the dealership guy's would buy a new truck to keep the maintenance lower and have warranty but forget about the truck down for 2 or 3 weeks out of the month waiting for an egr cooler or any other emission related parts. Unfortunately the payments keep coming. We all knew that saying " If the wheels aren't turning then you're not earning " and it's just that simple. As always I want to thank each and every one of you guys and gals for what you do to keep our countries going. And you young fella keep doing what you are doing and the sky is the limit who knows you could be the next J B or Schneider. Those are just a couple of examples I came up with.
