    The ending where you link the flame was supposed to be like that, it was supposed to give you the feeling that nothing special happened. In the past games, after linking the fire, you and everything around you would combust into a massive fireball, letting you know that you have triumphantly extended the age of flame. However in DS3, it is barely even a group of embers; the age of fire has went on too long, the world is sick, and everything is withering away - including the first flame. You are supposed to let the cycle end and bring in a new age of Darkness, by extending the age of fire you did nothing but prolong the suffering, you added a few drops of gasoline to the already sputtering engine that is powering the world. The world of DS3 was far more demented, rotten, and sick than any other iteration of Dark Souls… it was trying to tell you and the Lords of Cinder to let it go, let it die and start anew. It’s a beautiful ending to the franchise.
    P.S THIS IS ALLLL GWYN’S FAULT

    • @XonixDerps
      @XonixDerps Před 2 lety +25

      (Well that and it would repeat sadly because of gwyns indirectly causing the curse if I recall? Thats where the Gael epilogue ending comes in if you succeed)
      Though I remember hearing that while the Curse is indirectly caused by Gwyn and his fear, he did try to save the age of fire believing the Dark was the cause for a lot instead ((thanks to Lloyds fear mongering as well?)) while in reality the abyss was going to fuck over both the age of fire and dark anyways because of the curse?

    Though it was hard and taxing on our mental health, I think Dark Souls helps us get better at what we do and learn well from our mistakes, for life doesn't often give us many second chances, so we gotta be careful, observe the world around us and take every oportunity we have to the fullest. Thats what I love in demonsoulsbornekiro games ( now thats a category lol ).

    Soul of Cinders is a pain because he's got 4 different movesets to learn. He's cheezable, but the same cheeze won't work through all 4 phazes of his attack styles. Honestly, one of the funnest solo boss fights I can remember off the top of my head.
