I have to say, Meowscarada really surprised me this generation, and it's coming close to being one of my new favorites, even potentially being my new favorite Grass-type.

I can't believe how much I liked this pokemon's design. Meowscarada, even being a furry is still the best starter in my opinion.

@PenguThePenguin7 it was a surprise seing the leaks and see a furry but when the game launched it wasnt so bad, its like an anime opening, you start to like it the more you see it

I love Meowscarada
The funny thing about Meowscarada is how simple it's design is, compared to Skeledurg or Quavquaval, but it's still my favourite of the gen 9 starters.
I thinks it's because it still looks just generally appealing, it's a cat Magician and it just has a swav that Skeledurg and Quavquaval don't have. Imo at least

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the new starters for this gen. But this line probably has been my favorite of the three. I like the other 2. But to me this one is above them all. And I really like the middle evolution of this line. Actually the first 2 stages are my favorite. I almost didn't want to evolve my starter at all.

I just noticed meowscarada doesn’t have um…ears…
No you are not going to convince me the top part of the mask are ears
Also fun fact: meowscarada is the only Pokémon fast enough to keep up with koraidon/miraidon!(without dashing)
Ok a few hours after writing this I discovered that espathra is faster, even faster than koraidon/miraidon(without dashing)
