My stay at TRS was INCREDIBLE! Oct 30 - Nov 5 2022. I was very pleased with the food. My wife and I dined at Helios, Capricho, La Boheme, Kusko, El dorado and Sumptuori (Hibachi). The Breakfast buffet and table service at Helios each morning was amazing. Room service was fast and delicious every time (I recommend wings and fries, chicken Caesar wraps, shrimp quesadillas, and all of the deserts!) The housekeeping staff placed a variety of gourmet chocolates on our pillows each day and the butler service was unbelievable ! The staff, who became friends, fulfilled every request. Upon arrival, our butler Nori stocked our room bar with everything we asked for and made sure our reservations were to our preference throughout our stay. Our night butler Carlos always made sure we were well stocked and comfortable even offering to get ice and providing us extra bottled water, plus helping us get acquainted with the property and all the extras there are! I am already planning my life around getting back to TRS Turquesa. It was that fantastic!

@@brunoreigada I just took a trip to Tortola in the BVI. Got back last night. I honestly should have gone back to Grand Palladium. I’ve been there twice now. I agree the food can be hit or miss to some but I always found delicious food and it was plentiful. In the BVI you can expect good food but you’re going to pay outrageously. I’ll say the best meal I had in Tortola topped the best meals of TRS but not my much. Certainly not for the price we paid. I might even have to go back to TRS a third time (soon) just to experience what I know is wonderful. In Tortola the best breakfast was French toast, eggs and bacon. But at TRS you can get unlimited of all that plus a gigantic buffet of everything you could think of!! And it’s all included!

My wife did our honeymoon here last year. I agree with everything you said, with a couple notable exceptions! La Boheme is AWESOME. It's a shame you missed it. It is a classy restaurant with superb food. And like you said, Bamboo was not great for us either. We ate at La Boheme 4/8 nights we were there, because the other restaurants didn't live up to Boheme's standards. We also really loved Helios for breakfast. The buffet is fantastic and so convenient. The lobby bar in the evenings is great as well. Serene and tranquil setting with live music and good drinks. We just played cards and enjoyed the atmosphere in one of the little nooks there And lastly, the staff made our honeymoon very special with surprise champagne in the room, flower petals, decorations, etc. All in all, we had a great time. Without La Boheme and the lobby bar, it wouldn't have been so good.
The room was beautiful.

I really enjoyed your review of TRS Turquesa. I am booked to travel to Punta Cana for my first time in July and this is the hotel that I have booked for the week. It really looks wonderful. I have never stayed at an all inclusive before thus I was not aware that the food quality is sometimes not the best so I am glad that I watched your video.

Wish I saw your videos BEFORE I went back to an all inclusive in Cancun again. Good to know that no matter where it is all inclusive food go from good to okay to gross real quick. I drank all week and swear I didn't even catch a buzz

Loved the TRS Yucatán, they made you feel really special. The rooms in DR aren’t as breathtaking but I’d still love to stay here.

We are headed to DR this year and are looking for a more quiet adults only resort, but also like having access to the family resorts. We are not drinkers, so good drinks are not a factor for us. How does TRS Turquesa rank overall in the line up of hotels you stayed at? We have been to TRS Yucatan and loved that.

just a note, the "secret" pool is NOT TRS Turquesa only pool, it is adults only for everyone on all of the Grand Palladium resorts. The main pool is TRS Turquesa only. We personally enjoyed the food at the ones we wont to (Kusko was the best for us also) but we're not that picky to be honest. Now I need to see the other ones you went to as we're planning our next trip (and we stayed here in Sept 2021).

We've never visited the DR, but many of our friends have and I've heard a positive food review. Hope it gets better with each property.
Puzzled as to why you didn’t eat at the TRS restaurants and chose those at the big family resort instead? La Boheme is amazing, El Gaucho is better than average steak for AI resorts, and dinner at Helios is very good too.
Heading down to TRS next month, thanks for the review. I have been to the Dr a few times now and love it. I have also been to many other AI's, and unfortunately all have been somewhat disappointing(food wise) that's the same with budget AI's as well as high end Ai's. Hopefully they start offering better food after hearing reviews👍

We stayed here a few years ago.. and loved it. It’s connected to grand palladium.there’s are five other sections and pools. Where the party is.. and we loved the food.

We stayed at this hotel in 2014. There appear to have been some small changes since then, but the food was average back then as well.
I think some of the rooms have been remodeled since then. Looks like the food quality stayed the same…

An-tho-ny! What's up man! This was a great place to start my trip, as this hotel was solid. I was able to acclimate, stage, and transition easily into the core part of my trip.
There won't be many Marco Polo scenarios on this trip as most of my hotels are adults only 😎
Do you ever check out the night entertainment shows ? These are usually done by the resort animation teams along with extra entertainers (magic, circus, impersonators, etc). We usually check these out after diner and then hang out at the bars after the shows. This is also a must for good resorts and often forgotten

I’ve been to this resort and you went to all of the sucky restaurants :(. The food in this hotel is amazing compared to all inclusives that are in DR. I’m Dominican myself and have been to a bunch growing up lol. But the food in this resort literally beats any resort I’ve ever been to. Also, don’t sleep on Helios a la carte menu because it’s so bomb!

@@c.quinones9025 kusko is really good ; helios is good for eats between the pool and beach ; don’t sleep on helios a la carte menu. You also get access to all of the restaurants in the vicinity because it belongs to the hotel. So deff go to the hibachi spot and actually sit for hibachi because it’s fun and good. There’s an Italian spot that they have as well I forgot the name but the food there was great too.
For breakfast make sure you go to the big cafeteria place it’s right by kusko and the hibachi spot, that’s where you’ll find the best breakfast because they have everything you can imagine. Take advantage and get the fruits and real fruit juices too!
Guys when it comes to All Inclusive does this mean only buffets or all restaurants? Also how about alcohol, I am guessing that it’s included but not too shelf spirits right?

You missed going to the TRS restaurants (except Kusko) which are much better than the GP side ones. Capricio and La Boheme were our favorites, and then Kusko.
Looks pretty nice, the beach looks spectacular, restaurant decor...lacking. If the meals are like that, never mind. If the price was decent, ok, but I'm not going on vacation to not enjoy my time....and the food is a huge part of it for me, as I don't drink much alcohol. If there aren't any cool places to go outside the resort, then it's a definite no for me, as it gets too boring. Cuba is also not for me as the food isn't good either.

No I have had some of the best food ever at an all inclusive and I expect it. Occidental Caribe in Punta Cana had some amazing food but the resort was just dull. Some people are looking for quiet and dull, I'm not.
Typical food portions. But the room looks pretty and pool looks fun.
You somehow missed the restaurants with food imported from the US that are much higher quality 😂

I think that the difference in cost of an all inclusive property is mainly reflected in the quality of the food. So a $400 a night hotel will have the food extremally better than a $200 a night room, Would like to know about the cost of your stay. I went to Punta Cana once and really didnt like it...food was bad like you experienced...but also there is nothing to do outside the resorts. Cancun for example is way closer and better. That been said...i want to go to the new (2 years old) Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. I hope that it is in your plans, if not cancel whatever you have and book it! (or I will unsubscribe :0). I had been several times an the Zilara and Ziva properties in Cancun and they are great properties with great food. Enjoy your trip!!!

@@lashunthomas2090 yes there were ! It seemed like mostly local DJs so all the tunes were in Spanish but the crowd sang along to the main hooks so I know it was popular music and the vibe was HYPE! TRS has multiple venues like bars and “clubs”, which from what I experienced are like bars that become lively clubs after dark. My time there met every expectation. The nightlife is casual because of the luxurious location so everyone is an incredible mood. - oh wait. I meant the other resorts at grand palladium. The valets will take you anywhere on the property, anytime. I stayed at TRS, I highly recommend it! But the hype nightlife was at another venue on the same property. I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Go there! You will not be disappointed.

We stayed there a few years ago and were really disapointed. Mediocre Food, the Rooms needed a renovation and drink quality was very low.

If they just stuck with Dominican food and basic American, it would probably be so much better. Instead it seems like they are trying to cook stuff out of their comfort zone.
