Thank you for sending this link over to me. Just to confirm my diagnosis: my laptop charger only charges the laptop when I hold it in or press on it. Guessing that means I should change the port ... ?? Not a tech person and have never done this before ... pardon my silly question.

Natasha, yes if you have to wiggle jiggle the plug to make the system work then yes your problem is the jack and probably a plug as well (plug is the thing that you put into the jack)

hello bossman! i owned a lenovo ideapad 100s-141br and i was thinking about upgrading the hard-drive, so i bought a 970 EVO 500GB SSD, but is not reading it! i exchange it for others HD STICKS but no luck!.. can you tell me the right specification or type of hardrive stick i need

It is to bypass the shorted component or to add an extra bridge so that the current would conduct.

you can remove that battery for a few mins(tho I've heard that it has mixed results on some laptops), also there is a solder point bridging method. I'm not sure which are the points but you can google them out.

it has both, it is true that the wifi adapter takes up the mPCIE slot, the mSATA slot is right next to it. I installed a 64GB m.2 card in my laptop (the one I'm using to type this, the ideapad 100s-14IBR).
