Nammi Srinivasarao Advocate & Ex-Addl.P.P, District Court, Visakhapatnam; Spl. Standing Counsel, VMRDA (since 2014), Standing Counsel, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL),Ex- Spl.Public Prosecutor,CID,Visakhapatnam Region to conduct prosecution in Exclusive Spl.Court at Laxmipeta, Vangara mandal the then Srikakulam district which was established to conduct trial in connection with with the brutal murder of five people of Laxmipet by the same villagers.The reason for murder is the land dispute.
There is an un-submerged land of vast extent after completion of the project “Gorle Sriramulunaidu Jalaasayam” popularly called as Madduvalasa Reservoir.
The incident happened in the year 2012.Trial commenced after pre trial legal procedures. There are nearly 90 accused out of whom around 5 to 7 persons were died.I have resigned to the post of Special Public Prosecutor at the end of year 2022 acceptance of which was kept in abeyance and at last it was accepted in the beginning of the year 2024.
Meanwhile Srikakulam District Court PP was appointed as in-charge Spl.PP. After some time he was discontinued as the victims raised objections for the want of appointment of another Special PP.
