- Out at Jawbone Canyon ripping the LT 250R. Rode 35 miles today of hard trails, really testing the bike issues and weaknesses. She’s a ripper, still dialing in jetting and suspension each ride. Suzuki LT250R

Haaaa. Usually so true, the reality is I just don’t have the time to wrench and build anymore. Im really happy with this bike, she’s gonna stay around for a awhile and going tweak it to make it better. Im working on a new bilitron Lectron carb or smart carb coming soon. I want this to be like if Husqvarna was to build a 300Cc 2 stoke quad this would be it.

Thanks bro. Good luck on your 1992, let me know if you have any question. I will say the Yamaha YFZ shocks made a world of difference on how my bike rides and handles now. Night and day difference for sure, cross ruts at speed and Suzuki now just floats over them, before it would be teeth shattering jarring.
Bring that LT out to Joshua Tree... We'll bring ours and get some riding in.

I'm not going to pretend I can tell from a video, as you were going uphill mostly, and how steep it could be a camera never does it justice. But it seems like although it has plenty of low end power, it didn't seem to want to rev on top. IDK like maybe the power valve is sticking, or stuck closed? But that's just a guess. And It could just be the conditions you were in. I don't want too be "that guy" trust me. It just didn't seem too want to "come on the pipe". Just want you to be getting all it has, like we all do!✌
All good bro. This was just the second run with the bike. I’m fine tuning stuff each ride. Its actually the lower end, not sure what happened but I lost a lot of low end grunt. Those hill climbs should be nothing, but I was constantly dropping a gear to maintain rev. I did 35 miles of hard stuff trying to learn the bike weaknesses. Long day for sure, all feedback is 100% welcome and encouraged 👍🏼
Have you ever rebuilt your engine? I need to rebuild mine but I can't find the bearing for the crankshaft counter balancer does anyone know where I can find one of these bearings? they hard hard to track down due to them being discontinued. any help would be appreciated.
Hi. I have not had to replace the crankshaft side bearing, I’m sure they are out there. The engine shares some parts from other engines.
I just put 2014 YFZ450r shocks on my 89 lt250r and the full flight +2 a arms are fully flexed up with preload all the way loose. Did you have the same issue? And if so how’d you fix it?
Can u post a video of the issue? The only issue I had was at full drop the spindle was making contact with the ball joint. I had to shave about 1” off the spindle. But mine have the LTZ 400 spindle upgrade option for my full flights.
Also I have a video on my channel about the suspension upgrade I did.
I have the exact same front set up with ltz400 spindles as you. And yes the issue is the bottom ball joint hits the spindle.
@@Coleman_Productionz oh ok. I shaved about 3/4” off the spindle. Works fine now.
