I've modified cheap USB-C TP4056 charging module design to actually make it work and at the same time, to make it easier to solder.
Buying any kind of electronis module with USB-C from Aliexpress is a gamble. There are SO MANY different modules that don't include 5.1kOhm pull-down resistors on CC1 and CC2 pins. Without them, the modules won't work with proper USB-C power supply or computer's USB-C port. They do work with USB-A to USB-C cable, but not with USB-C to USB-C.
In this video I show latest USB-C problem I've encountered and also my modified version of the problematic module. My module was designed to be soldered using regular soldering iron and solder, no need for reflow ovens or solder paste... But flux is necessary!

The blue board is one I bought from Aliexpress. Green board is the one I ordered from PCBWAY.COM and received yesterday.
