My budgie hasn’t been eating, drinking or moving but once I played this he got excited and flew over to his food, and started eating it! He also chirped a few times which made me really happy. Luckily I’m home all day everyday so I spend a ton of time working with him!

When I was a child my mum came home one day with a budgie in a cage, this was about 1960 and I was eight years old. I absolutely adored it and was amazed how it's constant chatter and playful mood affected me.
I loved that little bird so much.
One morning, maybe about a year later I came home from school to find the budgie was gone 😶.
My mum told me it had died suddenly so she took it out and buried it. I was heartbroken. No matter how I tried she would not tell me where she buried it, which lead me to suspect she either sold it or killed it ( she hated cleaning the cage ).
It was long ago now, and I'm an old man, but that budgie lives again every time I hear their chatter, so finding this video is a treasure for me. I am saving it to watch over and over.

I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s always sad when these birds don’t get the love they deserve but I can tell you definitely did give that to it. I’m glad the noises make you happy though, I lost my little baby last Easter unexpectedly and it was really hard but I have two new ones now and they help make it easier, I understand how you feel.

My budgie lost her cage mate a few months ago. She recently started “whining” constantly but wasn’t ill. I’m sure she was lonely. So, I turned on this video on my tv and she has totally stopped that incessant noise and seems to be calm. She chitters occasionally too. Thank you for this! I absolutely adore budgie sounds. ❤️❤️❤️

I had 2 parakeets, they where a couple. The girl died today :'( he is looking around for her and calling her. I put these sounds on and he looked so much happier then before. He is really sad.. i hope he will survive this loss.....

The breeder told me not to put them together bc they might dominate the younger one but when I brought them home, they instantly became best friends. They fly together and play together. The female is attracted to the younger male a little more than the one she came with.

That's what I'm thinking, we've got a baby budgie and my partner was playing this for her yesterday and I had to Google it. Apparently it can make them miserable because they can't see them....the experts say... I'm still researching it.
You're actually right on this, because this can cause mental problems. Imagine hearing someone but not being able to see them, It's exactly how they feel.
This comment is old, but I play this for my solo budgie, and it is okay to play sounds! Even if they are desperately searching for them that may be because you haven't bonded with them. If you were to bond for them and play those sounds, budgies will begin chirping to you as another part of their flock.

I have an injured rescue budgie and have never seen one respond so well to recorded budgie sounds! This has been amazing for his mental health as he heals from more than a few injuries. Thanks guys!
Bought my new baby budgie Styx yesterday afternoon. By this morning he hadn't eaten or moved much around his cage, but when I played this he perked right up and started getting into everything! He ate some of his seed mix and some millet, he took a bath and had some water, he's been dancing and hopping among the perches
In the long run it should probably have more than one bird in the cage, but I have read the advice to have only one in the very beginning when you're trying to tame them
my budgies loved it, they were having a full on conversation with the birds and it was great watching them!

It's called "Friends" series. And it's way longer than 3 hours(luckily).
We've had several Budgies over the years they are such great companions. We had one that lived for 11 years. It was always a sad day when they died .
My bird went missing today while i was at work... I came home and turned this video on because it’s partner wasn’t making any sounds... found my bird within minutes. 10/10 would use this if your bird goes missing in the house.... or if it’s lonely.

Ours disappeared once and we couldn't find her. We were afraid we'd eventually find a dead bird somewhere. Our male bird, who's usually quiet started chirping and looking for her. We eventually found her, just sitting on the top of our shower curtain upstairs in the dark. She didn't want to leave. I think she just wanted peace and quiet. Now every time she disappears, we find her there in the same exact spot.

Our last Budgie died in Dec 2017. We had him for 7 yrs. He loved to talk and sing just like the green budgie in this video. I really miss him. Just brought a pair of rescue budgies home, very young. They were shaking and very quiet UNTIL I decided to play budgie sounds and they lit up, chirping, singing, preening themselves and each other. At first I was concerned it was stressing then but I see now they are so relaxed and even dozing off with an occasional chirp.
I think they will recover just fine now, so pleased and very happy for them.

@@YolkeyDokes "affordable" is quite a relative term. Some people have litereally no spare money. And getting a new bird usually comes with paying for an initial visit with the vet.
Of course there would be other reasons, why the person did not get another bird immediatly. Sometimes you have to make appointments. Or you need a car to transport the new bird. Or maybe your transport cage is broken right now.
But more importantly: I don't really think, that the initial response was relevant anymore. I am sure they solved the situaiton in the past two years.^^

I remember when my family got a budgie out of nowhere about 5 years ago which started a chain of budgies which we owned. I loved every single one of them. Sadly they have all since passed away and I miss them dearly everyday. Listening to this helps me remember how much they meant to me though

Ive had my two budgies for about 4 months now, they have taken a lot of time to warm up to us but whenever i let them out of the cage every day i play this and they start chirping around and flying/bouncing everywhere until they’ve tired and go back in. Thank youu for this!

Right now it seems like the whole west coast is burning. I've got my three parakeets in their travel cage ready to evacuate (went from a massive 2-cockatiel cage to a tiny cage fit for one budgie to live a cramped life) and they were just not acting normal today. They seem a good deal comforted by this playing, eating and cleaning and making noise, so I'm grateful. I'll play this for them throughout the night too.

my budgie is currently alone because my other one had to get rushed to the vet this night. The doctors are trying to figure out what he needs and do their very best they can. But they had to keep him there. These sounds seem to calm my other budgie down so thank you for uploading!
