gabriel gervais there is no claiming to be done, halep is a pusher - either Serena wins or Serena chokes. Halep will not actually “earn” the win.

The US Open is the only Grand Slam of 2019 that Simona Halep did not reach the second week. Impressive results at the slam.
Simona should be able to beat Williams. She is in far better physical condition (i.e., not overweight) and can run. As long as Halep can handle the serves by Williams, she should do well. That's pretty much all SW has in her bag of 'tricks' at this point.
