I loved how Roger jumped into the conversation to protect Freddie when the interviewer was honing in on Freddie focusing on his theatrical style of performing which some critics criticized Mercury for. Freddie was a very shy person off stage and band members were always supportive and respectful of one another.
The camera was fascinated by Freddie’s black nail polish...yes, on one hand only...it wasn’t noticed that Brian had the nails of one hand painted with white nail polish..that’s what they did at the time🤩
Yes… and why were only the nails on Freddie’s and Brian’s left hands the ones painted ? - Answer: Because they were both right-handed, and therefore couldn’t handle the applicator brush smoothly with their left hand. 😂 Trust our Queen Boys to turn a shortcoming even so small as that into an iconic fashion !
Now at his white-haired maturity, Brian gets his “nails did” with a clear strengthening overlay because his own fingernails get painfully torn up on tour. He even shared a video clip of the process they did on his nails the last time they were in Japan (just before the pandemic hit) !
The hairstyle was known as shag with short cut on top, gradually longer on the sides and back.

Freddie used to paint the nails on his left-hand black and Brian used to paint the nails on his left-hand white. I think they started after Queen II album was released. It is know as the Black and White album.
The haircut is called a shag, men and women wore it in the 70s. I have my haircut in a shag.
I actually thought Best Friend was Brian, but I admit I have the bias that if doesn't sound like Freddy, i tend to think it's Brian... Go Deacon, Go Bassist!
John Deacon wrote “You’re My Best Friend” *while teaching himself to play electric piano* , about his lovely young bride Veronica 🥹❤ … they are still married to this day, 48 years and counting !
John did Another one Bites the Dust another huge hit. I hate they didn’t even show him. I hate this interview because of it.

They did not have mullets ! A mullet is “business in the front, party in the back” - i.e. short at front, top and sides, then shoulder length or longer only in the back.
