The Holy Spirit is necessary to bring one to Jesus. This is his main work. The unforgivable sin is called blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, this sin results in being severed from the Holy Spirit and unable to repent and believe in Jesus. If you are drawn to repent and believe in Jesus, then you haven’t committed this sin. Are bad, intentional thoughts against the HS considered the unpardonable sin or are they even considered blasphemy? What if someone, on purpose thought of something bad about the HS but not with the intention of working against Him or going against Him or maligning Him but merely (I think) because of curiosity or weakness/temptation? Some people I know of suffer from OCD and over a period of time some of them just decided to give in to those thoughts and some (on a regular day) did it on purpose but with a hint of being under the temptation of doing it but they regretted it immediately and really want God back. Is there still hope for them?

    • @GreatLightStudios
      @GreatLightStudios  Před 2 lety +16

Yes of course there is certainly hope for those people. Thoughts do not count as the “unpardonable sin.” The unpardonable sin also is not a one time or even several times of having moments of weakness or choosing sin. There is no sin that Jesus did not pay for, therefore the only sin that is unforgivable is the sin of continuously refusing to believe in him and continuing in a state of rejecting him. But having certain thoughts- whether by choice or by OCD or something else -do not count as the unforgivable sin.

@@GreatLightStudios Hi, just one final question. What if someone with a lot of knowledge about the HS attributed in his thoughts something bad about the HS on purpose, knowingly and while being sober for some reason but not out of anger or hatred. The person knows he shouldn't but he does it anyway but afterwards regretted everything.
Just a quick background: the person has always been trying to avoid thinking bad things about the HS from the very start - ever since He has learned about that sin. But over time, because of his sins he went too far as to be doing it on purpose already and not being under temptation/impulse or in a fit of anger, rage or hatred. But he does regret it and really wants freedom and forgiveness.
Paul the apostle did it ignorantly in his unbelief, but what if the person did it knowingly and not ignorantly and having believed in Him? Can other reasons beside Paul's count to still be a recipient of God's mercy as long as they desire to repent and turn back to God?

There's no one in the Bible that I can think of who went to Jesus and wasn't forgiven by him. YES ! Peter denied Christ three times. He did not understand that Christ would suffer and die for your's and my sins.
Luke 18 [31] Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
[32] For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
[33] And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
[34] And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
[35] And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
Then there is Matt 16: 20] Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
[21] From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
[22] Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
[23] But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT Peter denied Christ until it was revealed to him that Christ arose from the grave. Then Peter believed with his whole heart that Christ had resurrected to sit on the Throne of David, Acts 2:38
If going against what the Holy Ghost directs is blasphemy then how about Acts 15 and 16:1-6? The Holy Ghost makes it clear that while the Gentiles are not under the law of Moses like Peter believed at the same time the Holy Ghost did not tell the Jews from the Jerusalem church to stop that law keeping. The Holy Ghost wants you to recognize the difference. See next post.

What satan wants is confusion. The following is what Jesus said but Christians do not believe it because of the leadership biased themselves and congregations across the denominations; Matt.15
[24] But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Jesus does not want the gospel of the Kingdom applied to Gentiles because it is only for the Jews. Matt.10
[6] But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Satan does not want you to know the truth. Look at Acts.15
[1] And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. [24] Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: - It is clear the Jews from Peter's church in Acts 2 believed in keeping the law. I hope you read the whole chapter in a NKJV or KJV. Peter got us and defended that God was saving the Gentiles because they kept the law which made associating with a unproselytised Gentile illegal. Peter states as much in Acts 10 [28] And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. So after much debate it is decreed and agreed by the Jerusalem church's leadership and the HOLY GHOST that the gentiles do not have to keep the law as do the Jews to be saved. Two ways that God is saving mankind at that time. Mixing the gospel of the kingdom with the gospel of grace is nothing but confusing for the church,, that is our churches today.
    1 Tim. 1 NKJV
Glory to God for His Grace
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, 13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an [d]insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
Paul is chief that is the first not the worst. I can cite worst examples from the bible. He is first as verse 16 goes on to say. Paul was a Jew under the gospel of the kingdom. Blasphemy is not pardonable. But it is under the gospel of grace. Paul was the first, the chief of sinners under the gospel of grace and he is our pattern. Get a good bible version. If you can not handle the thees and thou's get a NKJV.
    1 Cor. 4 NKJV
14 I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. 15 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you, imitate me. 17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.
Read Acts 16:1-6 and understand badly the Holy Ghost does not want you to follow the gospel of the kingdom and this is why Paul said Rom.15
[20] Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
Don't be afraid to use your common sense.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit=blasphemy against the Father, as hereinafter explained.
In the Nicea council the bishops didn't understand that the Holy Spirit IS THE FATHER. Jesus states that "God is a spirit", where "God" is the "Father", of course. Well, "God who is a Spirit" gets in the gospels the name of "Spirit of God" or "Holy Spirit". Thus the Holy Spirit=the Father (who is in the form of a spirit). The "Father being a spirit" means that NOBODY IS HERE: God is present here only with his love, his words and actions, but He is ABSENT.
Jesus has thus the "Father who is a spirit" and calls Him sometimes "Father", sometimes "Spirit (Holy)", depending on circumstances and this could be confusing. But they are just two equivalent names. For example (see blasphemy against the Holy Spirit) Jesus could have said "..but blasphemy against the Father will not be forgiven...", in an equivalent manner. For example, in "..only the Father knows" Jesus could have said: "..only the Holy Spirit knows" instead.
Thus, NO "THIRD DIVINE PERSON", no triune God exists.
The Father IS THE HOLY SPIRIT and only in this "limited form of a spirit" takes actions now:
    see Mary's pregnancy
see Jesus being filled with the Holy Spirit and helped by Him when talking : "The words I say to you, I say not on my own but from the FATHER WHO DWELLS IN ME."(the Father who dwells in Jesus is in the form of a spirit: He is the Holy Spirit).
see the words spoken by Him at the Jesus' baptism ("...you are my beloved Son..")
The Father in his "normal form" is thus NOT available, see Jesus' answer to Philip: the Father cannot be shown
Jesus sits next to the POWER of God, thus God is NOT IN HEAVEN either.
When Jesus will come, "the Son of man comes WITH HIS HOLY ANGELS, He shall sit upon the throne of His glory." i.e. the Father will NOT be there with Jesus either.
Since the Father is ABSENT, the Son INHERITED the Reign of God " The Father loves the Son and has given ALL THINGS into His hand."
Accordingly, Jesus will judge people, NOT THE FATHER "The Father judges no man, but has turned over all judgment to the Son."
The Father in his "normal" form only existed in a distant past, BEFORE THE BIRTH of mankind "the world has not known you", this is why "no one has ever seen God", of course. Only Jesus HAS SEEN the Father, i.e. an "action taken", i.e. Jesus does not see the Father now.
The almighty God in his "normal form" (see the baptismal formula) cannot be here for logical reasons.

I have literally done this sin before than I literally spoke against the father in my past because I was mad at him because of all the things that were happening to me now there’s no remedy now you people. You people aren’t clear what is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? Is that the reason why God is not with me and he doesn’t defend me from the demonic attacks has he brought me to Satan? What is happening? What am I going to do now join satanism fulfill my flesh’s desires and go to hell? I don’t want this life a life of confusion. Is that why God leaves me in shame to my enemies am I not his son adopted by him? What should I do then? End my self? After all the things I’ve been through and after knowing that there’s a better life than the earthly life which is the kingdom of heaven I am now presented with the news that I blasphemed against the Holy Spirit. Great how am going to live without God. Doesn’t the Bible say that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is found in Jesus Christ neither principalities nor angel nor high nor depth nor any created thing but under one condition blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can separate me from his love. That’s great I guess his love isn’t so unconditional after all. If I fall under all of this lies than I would go total apostasy mode I have to deal with this problems every day with this audible voices that harras me all the time with spiritual lepra and it’s like this voices have the last word and God doesn’t if I use human logic to understand this! It makes me sick how powerless God created me and it makes me sick how confused I am with my life. I want to end this religion once and for all. I want to experience God the God of Jesus Christ the resurrection and the life. I know for a fact that there’s a spiritual realm out there with demons and heavens I’m not some brainless atheist.

You must read Jesus' word in his context: Jesus was just meaning that blaspheming the Father is a huge sin. Under my responsibility, I am sure that that sin can be forgiven. If you love the Son and the Father, their love to you can only be LARGER than yours, of course! You cannot be betrayed by God "yes, you now love me but you blasphemed me beforehand" ! I just try to be a POSITIVE asset for God, for my family, for my friends, for the society...maybe you could follow the same policy...

Satan is very dangerous for the people who don't believe he exists, but this is not your case. Thus, he cannot be dangerous for you. Thinking of Satan can only have disturbing effects, I would suggest to ignore him completely and focus on positive things.
