    I really enjoy my Qashqai everyday...the biggest pro, is that it doesn't get on my nerves. Which many cars fails at. And its not a dazzler like the c-class I had. The interior is definitely a strongpoint. Not ao great is the lack of sufficient UV coating on the windows...gets hot very easy inside. Climate automatic isnt really set and forget like in most VW I had...you constantly have to fiddle with it. Suspension could be somewhat softer... otherwise a great car. After being very disappointed with all my latest cars (Passat B8, C-Class, Seat Leon) the Qashqai really was a very good buy so far.

      Hi Ron. I had a 3008 for 3 years previous to the QQ and noticed that got very hot but so far the QQ hasn’t felt as hot to be fair to it. Agree with the suspension, big wheels don’t help I guess but saying that had 19 inches on the 3008 and that soaked up bumps a lot better. I guess there are plus and minus points for each car but so far with the QQ I’m impressed, only time will tell, only had it about 8 weeks

    Really great video. However I have couple of points after owning QQ for half a year now. First, at leas in Europe, the panoramic roof as well as roof rails are part of Tekna+ trim level. I have Tekna so no panoramic roof for me. I am actually happy about it as I really like the black ceiling. Most of the year, it is dark outside and the light of the cars behind me do not cause the interior to light up.
    Second, I see that you've got the manual gearbox. Good choice indeed but I can assure that the automatic CVT is excellently quiet and smooth and really well behaving. I have determined that it has four modes or algorithms in it. First, when driving at constant speed or accelerating very lightly, it keeps the RPM at 1200 and all accelerations are done with transmission ratio change alone. Second it starts to aid the acceleration with engine slightly, the RPM varies between 1300-1600 and also helps with CVT. Third mode is more spirited acceleration, it keeps the RPM between 1800-2200. This mode is also activated when selecting sport mode. Finally the most aggressive mode is when accelerating harder. It now locks the transmission ratio and accelerates with engine alone - RPM goes from 2100-3000, then transmission ratio is changed so that RPM drops down to 2100 and another pull to 3000 is made followed by another ratio change etc. Basically emulating standard automatic gearbox. So I am really happy about the CVT transmission, it runs quietly, when commuting daily but if demanded, can pull good engine power as well.
    The comfort is very good. The seats are really comfy - firm but supportive and have good shape supporting the back. Also low road noise during driving is a big plus for me.
    I have my car in Burgundy which is almost impossible to see right in video. In real life it is very beautiful and interesting color. It is brown, orange, purple or even pink but not red :) Plain red to me is boring but the Burgundy is very interesting color. It changes its tones constantly and it is such a low-key color keeping itself to the background. So can recommend it but please do not trust the youtube videos and only rely on your own eyes for that color. All the videos and pictures get the color wrong.
    Surprising downside is the rubber floor mat for the driver - it only covers the floor and not the carpet behind the pedals. With automatic, I rest my foot besides the break pedal (not on the leg support). So far it has been summer and the carpet only gets dirty. However soon it will be winter and I am concerned about the melting snow.
    Also the seatbelt warning is annoying in a sense that once it starts, then nothing but fastening the seatbelt helps. I have driven with other cars where stopping makes the warning shut up. But in Nissan, once you trigger the warning it keeps beeping at you until you close the seat belt. For example if I have to drive short distance to the gate, then leave the car, open the gate, drive through, get out and close the gate, then if you manage to trigger the seat belt warning then it keeps beeping until you fasten it regardless if the car is moving or stationary.
    Finally one party trick that relies on the electronic shifter. You stop and immediately reach for the engine start/stop button to shut off the engine. No need to touch the gear lever, the park is selected automatically. Really have gotten used to it :) Several friends have commented that they would like this feature but it is impossible with mechanical gear selectors.

      its a shame you don't get the pan roof, I love mine. I might try an auto in the future but do love a manual, plus they are cheaper in the UK than automatics

    I ve got QQ N connecta 1.3 manual 140PS 20 days ago in Greece. I had the J10 1.6 petrol for 13 years with 240km so I traded it in. Very pleased as it never broke down and was generally reliable.
    I have already done 700km but I am not happy with the following.
    The start/stop works whenever it remembers. Probably one day it works, the next it doesn't. I don't have anything open like A/C, heaters, etc. Just the radio.
    I was told by Nissan that the battery must be charged for it to work. So I imagine one day it discharges and the next day it charges. But guys, what the hell isn't this Start/Stop.
    There is a lag on acceleration in all modes. Sometimes it is so annoying that you feel the engine halted. Again the hybrid battery is supposed to help. Probaly is too discharged.
    Does anyone has the same issues?

    • @CarGuyUK

    I think there was a little bit of nit picking in your comment,s such as the boot hatch making a noise surely it’s warning you to stand back and not get hit by it other than that enjoyed your video.

      thanks, I guess its down to personal preference, during the day its not so bad but if i'm off out early or come back late and its deadly silent outside, it sounds very loud for the neighbours to contend with if they are in bed etc, I would prefer a lower noise setting or to be able to turn off personally :)

    What made you choose the Manual Stick Shift over the Xtronic CVT?

    • @CarGuyUK
      @CarGuyUK  Před 7 měsíci +2

      I have always driven manuals and I would have tried an automatic however, the offer price on the manual was so much better that I could not justify the extra just for an automatic.

    • @CarGuyUK
      @CarGuyUK  Před 8 měsíci

      I feel it's good, if you tweak it when you get it while listening to a song you know I feel you can get it to sound well and the base is ok. I have had Bose packs in the past on other cars and was not overly impressed so did not bother either this time round and feel the standard set up is serving me well :)

      I had a 2020 GT Line Premium 3008 previously to the QQ for the last 3 years and really enjoyed the car. They are both different in their own way. The 3008 felt more sturdy build wise, guess that’s to do with Nissan using light doors and bonnet and boot etc. The tech is so much better in the QQ and the ride quality was better in the 3008, I would recommend you test drive them both, the new 3008 comes out in a few months so that will be totally different altogether.

    The Privacy notice has nothing to do with who is driving the car, its a tracker so if you have an accident the emergency services know where you are. if you dont respond it automatically connects and sends your location. Hence the privacy. Adding another user is so they can have their own settings on the connect system rather than using yours. But Yes that will be a pain doing that everytime. Ive a pearl white 2020 Tekna and straight swapping it for the 2024 fuji sunset Nconnecta next year. because i dont use most of the tech in it and the nconnecta has just what i use...I dont use the advanced steering its rubbish and still need your hands on the steering. (no point) But i do use the advanced cruise control. I never use the auto parking, Its quicker and safer doing it yourself, I dont use the sunroof because i keep forgetting about it when i get in and you cant see it when your looking out of the front windscreen anyway. I dont use the heated windscreen except once a year and quicker to spray de-icer over it. The heated seats i barely use as you warm up quick anyway. think ive covered everything thats not worth paying the extra for a tekna. And a few of your gripes can be controlled via the cars settings. The main thing i will miss is the indicators, on mine the indicators wrap around and the new one is just a square little amber light. thats the only thing i will miss otherwise the nconnecta has everything i need.

    • @CarGuyUK

      Hi. The privacy notice is for many reasons and not just SOS services. The car has many connected services. Nissan say ‘The privacy disclaimer is there for privacy reasons as the vehicle does not know who is driving it, and for the security of whoever is driving the vehicle, we have decided to include the disclaimer upon start-up every time’ my point was if I’m the only person who is driving the car it would be nice to be asked once but understand Nissans reasoning. Many of the tech gripes can be controlled by the system yes but my point is they are not customisable enough and that would be a benefit if they were. Regarding features, it’s all subjective to what you require, need or just want. I want a panoramic roof as I feel it adds benefit to me plus I prefer the alloys over the lower spec cars so that is why I opted for the Tekna, each to their own I guess.

    • @wigrysystems
      @wigrysystems Před 6 měsíci +1

      I was choosing between NConnecta nad Tekna and the deciding factor is the matrix headlights. They are marvelous to drive and that is the main reason. Was afraid about the black ceiling with Tekna but now I cannot go back to gray ceiling any more - I am sold :) Also was afraid of partial leather trim but that is also great. So I am happy with Tekna even if the autosteering is quite silly.

    • @CarGuyUK

      It’s predominantly used as a family SUV and has many qualities family’s look for in a car, that’s why it does so well but there are others who just love also that don’t necessarily have families with kids etc
