Congratulations! So happy about your amazing news! Definitely worth the sacrifice of the long commute to gain so much experience and get paid for it as a student.
Thank you!! This is only a season in my life, so hopefully after graduation I won’t have to commute so far everyday, but it’s definitely worth it for the experience as a student!
Thank you!💗 I remember being in that position. Healthcare is a great major to be in if you’re deciding on ultrasound because you already have healthcare knowledge!
Hi Lovely , I’d likely to first say thank you for your content . I want to ask if you look for your own placement or the program provides you placement ? It would be great if your able to provide information on how to get your own placement ?
Hi love! Great question! I took the Wonderlic placement test. It’s extremely easy, but I know a lot of schools have different placement tests. I don’t know much about them, but it took mine before applying for my school. I don’t think it should be anything to worry about, because it’s pretty easy, but every school is different so you may want to ask the counselor of your school about it! I wish you good luck girly!
Hi Grace and not yet! I graduate in May/June so once I get to that point, then I can sit for my exams. I completed the SPI, but not any registries yet!
I personally prefer outpatient, but I do plan on getting a year or so of experience in the hospital because you get to learn so much there and see so many things
I believe an associates is suffice for ultrasound if you plan to only do ultrasound within your sonography career. If you plan on eventually working in management in healthcare eventually then a bachelors would be better. It all depends on your career plans in ultrasound!
Hi! No you do not. As long as you’re a senior in your program and have taken and passed the SPI, that’s really all of the experience you need to get a job as a student. Every place is different though!
@@cierrabreanna what about after you graduate from the ultrasound program? Say, from a private school or your community college ? I heard it’s competitive for those with no medical background to find a job after graduating so that’s why I’m asking for opinions 😇thanks
@@tatyanajonescabral3124 I think it depends on the area you live in. Some areas are more saturated with sonographers than others so it may be more competitive in those areas. There’s so much of a need for sonographers that I don’t think that would be a problem especially in areas that really need workers
congratulations on getting a job while still in school! that's so amazing!!
Thank youuu! All glory to God!

I’ve always heard that you can’t be hired as a student in a hospital. I’m glad I’m watching this video now.

What hourly pay did they offer you starting as a new sonographer ?
I’m curious about this too
Are you registered in anythin yet? I am also more interested in Abdominal and OBGYN than vascular

Do you prefer to work at a hospital outpatient clinic?
I personally prefer outpatient, but I do plan on getting a year or so of experience in the hospital because you get to learn so much there and see so many things
Any guidelines on how one can get a job as a sonographer in the US from ghana?
I really wish I had an answer, but I’m not sure
do you recommend an associate or bachelors ?
I believe an associates is suffice for ultrasound if you plan to only do ultrasound within your sonography career. If you plan on eventually working in management in healthcare eventually then a bachelors would be better. It all depends on your career plans in ultrasound!
