Respect ......cheers...Oh!! wait a sec customer called they changed their mind put everything back they just want to go with the windshield washer refill .
I have a '08 BMW 328 with repeated oil leak problems, mainly from the valve cover. Big chunk of cash to repair. I also have an '04 Toyota Land Cruiser that never has a problem. Same for my daughter's Mazda. Lesson learned. Every future car purchase must have a VIN starting with J.
Bro, you did a superb job on this !!!!! You appear to be a pro!! but I am a little bit confused at the title of the video because I have the same exact vehicle and I didn’t remove half of the components that you did to do my oil pan gasket. Is this how the dealership would go about this job? Just asking because I was quoted $1900 at my local BMW to get this done but I did it in my driveway in about 6 hours Dope video ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Appreciate that 🙂 Yea, the dealership would approach this job the same way. The procedure I used was straight from BMW's service manual but sounds like you were able to get it done without removing the sub frame. Nice job 👍
There are some ridiculous designs out there by almost all manufactures. One example, on the super duty 6.7 you have to pull the transmission, remove the plex plate then jack the engine up to gain access. But to answer your question. No, most cars are not this difficult.
Oh man is that a nice unit! I'm very fortunate our shop has one and feel for those techs still using solvent tanks. The last shop I worked at briefly had one of those roll around environmental eco-cleaner. What a pile of crap! Instead of working on the vehicle while the parts are being washed, you had to stand there and hand wash parts plus all it did was spread around oily goo.
It's the oil level sensor with rubber integrated washer. No dipstick on this vehicle. You get a digital readout of oil level on the ipc when going into settings with the engine running. Just something else expensive and time consuming to replace instead of an old fashioned dipstick tube. LOL
I kind of zoned out a moment with a stroke, but I think I got it. Fantastic work and video.
AWESOME JOB brother thanks for sharing will be watching more of ur videos. cheeeeeers

Oh Man! I've had a couple jobs approved and partially torn down then the customer changes their mind saying to wrap it up.
@@raincitywrench117 well i hope they pay for that atleast i know my boss would

They designed oil leaks into BMW's 😂

You kidding me, all this just for a pan gasket? Remind me never to buy one of these.
i second that
Just a friendly reminder....don't buy one of these!
Another friendly reminder, don’t buy one these
Big job…
You did everything just like I would've therefore you're a great mechanic 😂😂😂 jk
Well at least there's two of us & still hope for this industry!
What the price on a job like this? Mane alot of work. Congrats to Rain City Wrench
I don't see billing but it's probably close to $2000. Thanks for watching!
Holy crap. I had no idea this kind of job was so complex. Are all modern cars this difficult, or just the German imports?

that parts washer would be nice for upper oil pans on 6.7

nice work as always. what was that sensor with the long nose underneath ? why no gasket sealant ?

@@raincitywrench117 I spent a while trying to find the dipstick one of these before figuring out it is only electric. Annoying...
@@mbrick Years back I did the same thing when one of these rolled in.

I got really dizzy. You need to hire a camera man.
Lol
And how much was it?
I don't see the estimates but my guess is somewhere around $1600
At that point just get a new car .
Better yet, just add some oil every now and then. 😆
