Cinema 4D tutorial - Morph between objects

- Today we are going to have a look at a fun technique, morphing two objects within a lathe nurb.
We are going to be taking full advantage of a couple of mograph effectors and also having a bit of a play with the tracer object.
To demonstrate this technique I thought it would be fun to build up an animation morphing between the classic Coca Cola bottle and Coke can.
let's take a look at what we are going to create then dive straight in.
Awesome sir! Please do more tutorials. Your tutorials so far are fun, to the point and very easy to follow. Not a lot of C4D tutorials are like yours so I really hope you do more.Thank you! :) Greetings from Dubai~

Right here with ya, bro

Useful Tutorial..
Awesome Tuts, it would be more interesting if you can add textures and animate/morph between them. But still a very nice tutorial. Keep em coming.
Most relatable tNice tutorialng ever
Is there any chance you can do a texture tutorial for this? Subbed by the way!
Hi mate, first many thanks for your tutorials I’m really appreciate. I have a question!!?? Is there any way to make a morph using same technique with a editable geometry for example soccer ball morning to basketball ? Thanks for helping
amaizing !!
awesome!
great I subscribed
instant subscribe !
hi what textures and lighting are you using for the can in the demo shot as they look great! also can that be achieved without any renderers like octane/ redshift as my hardware doesn't support them?
"Lets slow down and take one step at a ti"
Really cool tutorial. Learnt a great deal. Though I'm wondering, is there a way to texture the objects?
You probably figured this out by now if you were bothered. But, for the benefit of anyone with the same question, the way I would do that is to create both textures. Then use a 3d gradient on the alpha with the y+ and - set to the same size as the falloff he used. Then keyframe it to match the falloff. There may be a more elegant solution but that ought to work.
@@Thror302 thanks.
Greact Tut. Thanks a lot. Can you do a morph tutorial from a "lathe nurbs" to a "loft nurbs" object ?
!!! Thanks a lot ...☺️☺️
Your tuts are great, thanks for the tips!!! How are textures/UVs handled by this morphing?
same. that is what I want to know.
is this only possible with splines? Or can you do this on normal objects as well? Great tut!
Cool! Now how would you texture this though?
great video and very informative! Btw, may i know what camera you used for the tutes?
bump
you can do what you want!
Great tutorial man!!! Thanks a lot, your channel is awesome.
I have one question. How can I apply one material to the can and a different one on the bottle? I can't figure it out.
Hey mate - just posted a quick tip going over this, hope it helps! czcams.com/video/I14wMAY4xNM/video.html
Great tutorial, im trying to make this morph with some text, i've the splines for the text but when i try to do the tracing it removes the caps from the letter can u help, love from Portugal
so clever!
Cool tutorial! Can this also be done between 2 models?
that was something. it worked. tnx a lot! but this does work only with splines. i am still looking for a plugin free way to morph more complex meshes. if someone knows a way, pls, tell me!
Nice technique. I try to find out how to do this with textures. Will be fun. :-)
Hey mate - Check this out for how I morph textures, hope it helps! czcams.com/video/I14wMAY4xNM/video.html
Sean Dove haha, great, thx. Actually I had sth like this in mind. I think I'll do it in octane so the workflow will slighthly differ but I appreciate your ideas. Btw Who's the girl in the background? ;-)
How would you use this technique with imported models instead?
When I see stuff like that: 1st- I'm impressed! 2- COOL! I want to try 3- when I go true: How the hell they know all that??? This is always the same question did you find those settings by yourself or what ?? It's like watching an illusionist and, even if you know the trick, checking the path to get there is Wow!
Wow
You're missing the "ribbles" cocacola bottles have, I'd add that with a displacer and a texture on that displacer for the ribbles.
For Blender users use screw modifier on the curve.. iloved the techniques usedhere.
Dope
Sean Dove how to make this technique work with spline text please ? after putting letters (spline text) inside matrix object and then matrix in to tracer its connecting my letters with some strange lines
Great method, how can control the uv's?
videos on pretty much everytNice tutorialng. Feels like I can finally move forward with making soft.
very nice ! i was wondering how can we do the third morph to another shape .usualy on youtube i can find two object tutorials .
hi tanks for this technique but when i want to use moText or Spline Text Tracer starts connecting irrelevant same points.you can try this.please help me
can you do an entire character design and rigging please? You are good at tutorialling (not a real word, don't use in public)
You sound like Thor.
it a go!
Thanks Sean, great tut! Just one remark, it was a bit difficult to follow at the modelling stage. For the rest all fantastic and useful video.
Hey mate, cheers for the feedback - difficult to follow due to speed?
Kinda had trouble with understanding Photoshop part to be honest. Could be slightly more detailed.
cool
is this also available with the C4D Visualize Version?
can you do this with any type of objects or do both haft to be cylindrical
wow
wouldve loved seeing that with textures and objects that arent created symmetrically, like a stone with crinkles into .. idk. something
