- A poem about life. This poem is based off James 4:14. It's a reminder that life is so short and only what's done for Jesus will last for eternity. A poem about life is a reminder of the reality of life and death. Don't waste your life, live for Christ. Life is so short, death is real, and eternity is forever. Life is so short. It gets shorter each day.
This life on earth quickly passes away.
The time we have to live is briefly here,
Then like a vapor our lives disappear.
Don't waste your life living for self and gain.
Or living for what's sin, temporal, and vain.
Live your life for Christ and what will go on;
What lasts forever when your life is gone.
It will be soon when you take your last breath;
Life will be over and you will face death.
Then you'll stand before God and you will see
What really mattered for eternity.
Your life is getting shorter ev'ry day,
And like a vapor life passes away.
One day, very soon, when your life is past,
Only what you did for Jesus will last.

I am just a child who was lost before but after reading this poetry it has open my eyes and thoughts as well thank you very much for GOD bless you amen
When we seek we find where the life lies, one flower lives a drought then another cleans the mound. Clean the mess you made before things turn to chaos, chaos to adept at being selfish, from selfish to meaningless. One cleans one cares, and one dares for pain. All we seek is what we want, for what is found we shall respect. Dont be selfish or else the lie lay between the twigs that finds your hands..... - I've learned much from this life poem, poems have a deeper meaning than what some think, and so I have found my mound of enjoyment and love-

Here's mine:
Roses are red
Violets are dying
Ouside I'm smiling
And inside I'm fighting
With all my fears that keep telling me to finally stop trying
And all night long I have been crying
Beacause I'm scared of hanging and dying.
Cutting my wrist like it's nothing but I just wanted to feel something
My family doesn't care but I think I just found someone who might dare to tell me to stop all this sadness and finally feel some real happiness
That's sad
Believe me gurl. I was having the worst days of my life a few months ago and I even felf like giving up on everything but now I am good. Nothing changed in the outer world but now my perception of life has Changed completely. Everything will turn out for your benefit soon and you'll realize how everything that has happened makes sense now❤️

Very nice, I've been thinking about this too lately, the brevity of life. Also how many times the old testament mentions the grass blown away as a metaphor for human life. Especially of sinners - they are but a breath and gone.
