Saint Maarten - Past, present and future

- This short video was made as a lead in to the showing of An Inconvenient Truth at a local movie theater (Movies 1 & II) in St. Maarten. The intention was to make the issue of Global Warming more personal to the viewers. Not one politician has ever mentioned the issue of GW nor has our press ever asked them about it.
Sadly, in reducing the size of the video to post onto CZcams the music is now slightly off to the photos, which also lost some quality. We will be looking for another way to post this video in it's full glory on another site in the future.

Great job. Thanks for showing me and others the wonderful island of Sint Maarten. May everyone be more aware of the global warnings and contribute to a better world.
its beautiful. alot of beaches, good shopping, lots of things to keep you busy, great hotels, and its a very friendly island. its a must see

Very moving indeed. Cars on St. Maarten is quite the problem, but thats also because our public transportation is just so bad... I have more need for a car in little St. Maarten than i do in the much larger Holland - I can happily take the bus in Holland, SXM is a different story...
But there is hope - With gebe charging so much damn money for electricity and gas prices so damn high, soon no one will be able to afford it and nobody will use them! Hooray for market forces! :)

they should do this video with Trinidad and Tobago as an example..our government and people need to wake up about the environment as well

Now, 9/24/07, when we hear just how dire predictions for global warming are becoming, all this moves from conjecture to frightening reality....
I am so afraid because the last part of the video got me scared is that really going to happens ?
well it did it's job with me.. but it's very logical that we would also have effects.. And i just have to say all that filling of the lagoon and the pond to make that ugly monstrous building that they call the airport was really a waste!! and it lacks culture..
But the video is well done and it certainly is stirring them
