The 80-year-old president and the 74-year-old King will discuss how to help boost private investment to combat climate change, a threat both leaders say is existential.
“The president has huge respect for the king’s commitment on the climate issue in particular. He has been a clarion voice on this issue,” White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday.
Mr Biden’s visit to the UK is part of a three-nation trip that will feature a Nato summit in Lithuania aimed at showing solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against Russia while not yet accepting Kyiv as a member of the defence alliance.

I noticed that Biden laid his hand on the King's back. I know that the President was just doing it in a friendly way but it's not protocol to touch the British monarch in such a way. I know there were one or two cases when one or two previous US presidents laid their hands on Elizabeth II in such a way. I don't know what it is about US presidents but they should be taught not to lay their hands on the British monarch in such a way. It may seem silly but it's the British custom and it should be respected.

It was funny how the king and the head of his honor guard kept stealing a glance at their watches as Biden arrived almost 30 minutes late. They must have been in a hurry since they played the British anthem as they were waiting for Biden. The king looks like he explained to Biden why the British anthem wasn't played though Biden didn't seemed to have noticed that.
But the most hilarious part was Biden walking past the soldiers in a ceremonial inspection. The expression on his face betrays what he was thinking (30:55): Here I thought only Camilla was so ugly. Looks like the Brits have a whole lot of dames that sure are ugly.
He and the Dr. were late for the Queen's funeral too.
