    Proclaim has been a blessing we’ve been using it our church for over 10 years now and it’s been getting better and better over the years it’s a solid reliable software that allows our service to run smooth and share the gospel to thousands of people! This company has been a blessing and Jake you Rock keep it up for the Glory of God!

  • @FellowshipBaptistWarrenton

    Jake, you said exactly what I was thinking. If we are still using PowerPoint (yes) and we want to step up our presentation (YES) then ProClaim is a good fit for us. Thanks for all you do. I regularly check in to see what and how you are doing what yo do.

    Hey Jake I am always watching your videos and certainly appreciate all you do for the church community! What a blessing! I would love to see you guys confidence monitor set up, to my knowledge I’ve never seen a video to talk about how you do that on a week to week basis . We are starting a church plant that’s also a set up teardown and would love to see how you make that happen from week to week , thanks!

    We've been using Proclaim at Freedom Baptist for several years and it works very well for us. It's nice that you can control Proclaim from Ableton Live, though we don't do this. You can automate lighting with Proclaim, which we're in the process of implementing. The best feature for us is that it's cloud based. Multiple users can update a presentation from where ever they happen to be, and the master copy in the cloud is updated automatically. This eliminates last minute scrambling on Sunday morning to update the PC in the sound booth. We also like the integration with CCLI Song Select and Logos Bible software (saves lots of typing).
    Jake, by multi-screen, do you mean sending different presentation outputs to different projectors/monitors? It can send different output to the "sign" display, but that's probably not what you meant. Thanks for your review!

    Hey Jake, I just watched your video review and wanted to give you a tip for proclaim. You mentioned that you can do multiple independant displays, but there kind of is a way to do that. Proclaim let's you set up digital signage feeds, of which you can add as many as you need...Lobby, Youth Room, etc. When setting up you're slides for your main service, there is a setting for send to sign feed, so you can push content to which ever sign feed that you want to when you're on air. Plus since the digital signage doesn't need direct video cable running back to you're PC, you could likely run it with a web browser on a raspberryPi, Android or FireTV stick...you should check it out

    I Appreciate all of your videos. They have really helped me. I have a quick question. I purchased the MyDmx-RM so that I could save lighting scenes to it. The goal was to enable staff to push a button and have lighting scenes play without having to know ableton or any software. My question is, do you know if Lightkey will export scenes to the MyDmx-Rm? Thanks again for all of your excellent videos. I will give Proclaim a try.

    Oh man! Now you're speaking my language! Been using Proclaim for over a year and wish someone could teach me how to make it cue my lights on another computer running ShowXpress!
    I know your answer is probably cue both from ableton. But we can't afford ableton and another computer.
    I can't find any tutorials on how to send a midi signal from one computer to another!

    We use proclaim at our church, and a few of the features that we really like is the integration with some of their other services ... like adding recording cues so you don't forget to record the service, plus you can auto publish it afterward. You can also manage your announcements with the faithlife group calendar and use that to easily create your announcements and pull the info right from the calendar. Signals are also pretty cool to push content to people following along with their mobile app. things like announcement, scripture verses, giving etc. They also added some livestream recording cues where we can push the content right to youtube live which is pretty cool. It's in beta and still need's some work, but i'm excited to see what's next.

      Is Faithlife Proclaim as good as Pro Presenter or is it more like using Easy Worship a basic presentation software for churches that are small to use? Is there any way for each slide to have a different transition?

    • @JohnRockBilodeau
      @JohnRockBilodeau Před rokem

      @@sam45354 proclaim is definitely way more functional that easy worship. I have limited experience with pro presenter, but from what I understand you loose a bit of customization functionality in pro presenter, but it’s end up with a system with way more automation built in. It’s quick to make presentations, it can be installed on multiple pc, has collaborations features, has features for live-streaming, recording cues, ccli integration, tons of Bible versions, ability to have surveys, digital signage and much more. Their support is also top notch. He have a few team members that used pro presenter at a previous church and like proclaim better and have commented on how much quicker it is to build presentations in. Just an idea of the flexibility…last Sunday I noticed someone forgot to apply the lower third template to lyrics. I didn’t want to switch to edit mode since they were presenting the lyric on the main project, so I edited the presentation on a separate pc and it synced over to the main pc, and mid song the slides changed to use lower thirds. There is a free trial I’d recommend trying it out. Also there are various transition options, but I depends on how you create your presentation on if you can use different ones between slide.

    My team used Proclaim and loved it EXCEPT the Bible.. I would to see Faith Life create a better or "internal" on the fly bible situation that pulls up the entire book, chapter and verse within the "service" section (maybe something comparable to the functionality of an Easy Worship type bible /sermon presentation setup) instead of having to create slides. Reason being there are many Lead or Senior Pastors that take more of a "flow" approach when ministering, and seldom submit their sermon notes or scriptures to their A/V teams. I love Proclaim but would hate to have to relatively use 2 different programs for the sermon/bible. Otherwise, again, I LOVE everything else about it.

    Thanks, Jake. We're using EasyWorship in our small, rural experiences. We do not use Ableton. I don't even know if EasyWorship integrates with Ableton. So, PROCLAIM with Ableton would be a giant leap for us. I really like it as a worship leader, and as a tech guy. Obviously, it has a few challenges, but we do not have multi-screen needs (other than front/back), but the stability factor is key.
    I'm not crazy about the learning-curve that will be involved with moving from EW to PROCLAIM + ABLETON, but maybe we would just start with PROCLAIM for awhile until we master it, then add the ABLETON capabilities, which would only improve our experience I'm sure. I appreciate your videos for their unbiased approach, providing knowledge and information but not ramming a product down our throat. This product looks like it would be a step up for us and lead to ABLETON (and CCLI) integration. Ya, that's right, we don't even have CCLI integration where we live. :) Our slides are all homemade and hand-crafted.
    Thanks for another great learning opportunity, Jake and Ashton.

      We use EZ worship too. But switching to proclaim likely - it is pretty easy to figure out and has much more functionality. For one, I love being able to create the service from start to finish from my office computer rather than in the production booth (not very comfortable)

  • @TheRealHolyGhost
    @TheRealHolyGhost Před 3 lety

    This excellent review may still be helpful to those considering using Proclaim Online so it may be time to update it. Over the past 12 months there have been significant improvements.
    Smooth Scrolling... fixed. At least it works nicely on my i7 with a gtx1030.
    No noticeable Cloud based lag on a decent connection. (ie > 10mbit)
    Not sure what you mean by multi-screen outputs. I drive 5 monitors, 2 FoH, 1 confidence, 1 application and one reference. Plus the new virtual displays feature sends directly to my streaming PC using NDI output. This is very cool!
    If you want total flexibility use Resolume and feed it your PO content. The digital signage looks useful as well though I've never used it in a live production.
    You can't have different backgrounds during a song but you can have a live video feed as a BG as well as video loop backgrounds. The extra purchased content is too expensive for my use case. There are a range of alternative sources of good still and video backgrounds and designs on sources like UnSplash and Coverr that are provided under CC licencing.
    Customisation of the confidence monitor is now really good and very flexible. I'm finding that FL is putting a lot of effort into continuous updates. This is one of the neat consequences of a cloud integrated desktop / hybrid apps. Updates are frequent.

We are a bilingual church and sing our songs like this for example, verse 1 English, chorus English, verse 1 Spanish, Chorus Spanish, etc. sometimes the worship leader may repeat verses in English or Spanish as she feels led, is there a way to manually select the slide we want displayed in case she doesn’t follow the song flow as entered?

  • @spiritchapelchurch1510
    @spiritchapelchurch1510 Před 4 lety +1

    We've looked at just about everything. We keep coming back to ProPresenter -- for one reason: Automation. If you have a worship leader that runs everything from stage with Ableton, maybe this doesn't matter, but for us, there is one feature that ProPresenter has that all others lack, and that is the ability to let the slides auto-advance based on a backing track (or audio file). This is critical to making it bulletproof. The tech literally presses play, and everything runs perfectly. It is so easy in PP6: you just set the audio file, and press the "record" button. You run through the song and click on the slides the way you would do it live, and it records the exact place in the timeline to switch slides. From there, anytime you play that song, the slides will advance by themselves. It's a "set it and forget it" sort of thing. So, if you are a small church that is singing to backing tracks (or CZcams videos, or whatever...) or even a band that plays to a clicking track, you can have your slides move exactly on cue. Every time. Never a mistake. The downside is that you pretty much HAVE to have Mac for PP6. Even though they have a Windows version, it is 32bit, and it is awful. I hate spending more for Apple gear, but I do because the fact is that PP6 works for us, and nothing else does.

    • @MarkJoel1960
      @MarkJoel1960 Před 4 lety

      @@danielajo8092 Yes, and as I said, PP6 does it *without* having to go out to a DAW. That makes a huge difference if you have a church that doesn't have a worship leader who is using Ableton Live. We don't use Ableton live as part of our worship. In fact most churches around here don't. So that won't work for us.

  • @NateCress

    We have used Proclaim (Faithlife Proclaim) since 2012. I absolutely love it! It blows the competition away in my opinion. I'd only recommend ProPresenter for advanced setups, but for 99% of churches, Proclaim is the better choice. With Proclaim you don't just get projection software; you get a communication platform. Smart media is one of my favorite things about Proclaim, and the media subscriptions are a great value. You also get digital bulletins which are nice to have, and you get digital signage!!! We put up Philips Hue bulbs to add some color effects to the stage lighting and control that through Proclaim as well. We trim and publish our weekly audio podcast within an hour of our last service each week. The other great thing about syncing everything to the cloud is that multiple people can upload their part of the presentation content from the comfort of their own home or office and everything is ready to go at service time. The only thing that Proclaim lacks that I'm really hoping for is a web-based editor, so that I can edit on any computer without having to download the software.

      With a couple exceptions, you can use most of Proclaim without internet. When it comes to presenting, internet isn't necessary. If, for example, you're running your services off a laptop, your team can make all your changes during the week, sync down the latest change on the presenting laptop, then take it to your church building and go on air without internet. If your presenting computer is a desktop, you can put your presentation on a thumb drive and load it into Proclaim on your presentation computer.
