O, Gopala (Krishna), You are dear to the Gopi-s of Gokulam, You are the leader of the Cowherds and their Calves.
चरणारविंदमहं भजे भजनीय सुर मुनि दुर्लभ।।१।।
I worship Your feet lotuses, which are hard to reach / attain even for the gods and sages.
घनश्याम काम अनेक छविलोकाभिराम मनोहरं।
You are as dark as the rain-clouds, You are as handsome as many Kaamdeva-s in beauty, You make the whole world happy, and You steal everyone's heart.
किञ्जल्क बसन, किसोर मूरति भूरि गुन करुणाकरं।।२।।
You wear clothes that are as golden yellow as the pollen of lotuses, You are in Your teen age form with so many good qualities and Your actions are compassionate.

This is a song that has been nothing short of an integral part of our family's soul. I sang it to my daughters while bathing them, feeding them, putting them to sleep. Jayashree ma'm your rendition is absolutely spectacular ❤
I have one complaint though - the cinematographer and editor did not show a single close up shot of Smt Jayashree. Not even ONCE throughout the entire video!! The camera just kept cutting from the mridangam player to the violinist to the central frame of the three of them. I really wish I could see Jayashree ma'm's face and expressions as she sang this. The bhakti bhavana is enhanced by being able to see her.
