    Just to keep this video upto date a little, for those watching a few years later, the Sneaky 3D Alpine clothing will keep you concealed from the Ibex (and the Ptarmigans) in these mountainous areas of Val-Des-Bois. ;) I presume the Alpine camo was released after this video.

    Thank you for making this video. It helped me a lot. My first male ibex was a 275. Keep up the great work.

    Hats off. Your "Let's Hunt..." videos are are the iceing on the cake. Went out for some Ibexes this afternoon after i watched this vid. After 2 hours of tracking following them, nothing. So i went back to the tent and was really very frustrated. But right there i got 2 within 15 minutes, gladly. :-)

    Great video HooCairs. After watching it I ventured up to the same spot and got two bucks. Not huge but it was fun. In the Video, at 41:09 you missed an Ibex on the mountain to the left of screen. It's on a small plateau half way up. You can see him up there whenever you pan across that way. At 42:37 you just see him run out of view to the left.

      Thanks, I will try to make a few more. I have some planned already. But I will be honest, it is not easy to tell something interesting and new for every species. ;-)

  • @jean-sebastiendargent9790

    Nice video HooCairs, thank's again ;)
    A question abouti it : Why do you prefer spawning on the lodge first before fast traveling and not directly to the tent ?

    • @HooCairs
      @HooCairs  Před 9 lety +1

      There is a radius around the tent that you spawn at, in which no animal will spawn or walk. Fast traveling to a place can get you right into the animals, as you can see in both of my attempts. When you start at that tent, you will have to walk a while first. That's all. ;-)

    Can the next Let's Hunt be a mule deer edition? :)

    I am wondering, do you think a ground blind would work up there? The normal green one has no restrictions in its use.

    • @HooCairs
      @HooCairs  Před 9 lety

      Per definition it should work, but stand hunting is not really successful with ibex. You need to stay on your toes (my opinion).

    Great video and thanks for the tips much appreciated. Do you have any preferable places, reserves, times of day when hunting Red Deer? It is the most prized game in my country :) thanks again.

    • @HooCairs
      @HooCairs  Před 9 lety

      Peter Alexander Posborg For Red Deer I start at a tent in the south of Hirschfelden. The best place is in the south-western corner. I usually start at 9.00.

    Do you need climbing gear to hunt the ibex or to get to them??

    • @HooCairs
      @HooCairs  Před 9 lety +1

      You can walk up in the west and get to the ibex in the north. In the south there are some places where you need climbing gear.
