WAAAAY easier to follow than the last how-to-do-this video that I watched! Thank you for making it easy to follow. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. 🚂
Couldn’t get the front sprocket on so I left the old one on there. It looked decent enough. What was your secret to getting the front sprocket on? I bought the same kit
As far as I can remember it went on pretty easy for me. But it does have to go a specific way so make sure that you had the correct side pointing out. You’ll probably be fine leaving the old one on but it would be best to get the new one on if you can.

Thanks man I appreciate it! Yeah I do mostly trail riding but I ride really hard. Like going as fast as I can through the trails most of the time. I also did a lot of wheelies on that quad and this kit seemed to have to good low end torque as well as top end speed. But I actually sold that quad and god a 450. But it was still in great shape when I sold it.
@hankssmallengines8654 any maintenance videos would be awesome. Just picked up an 07 400ex and it needs a lot of basic TLC. did valves then a new carb after I couldn't get the cheap chinese one to tune. Flushed/bled brakes, changing chain/sprockets this weekend then rear brake rebuild (master cylinder & caliper). Will upgrade suspension this fall and most likely upgrade to a 450er next Summer.
Question, can't seem to find a answer, so maybe you have one!? I can get sprocket on and the lock washer. However the whole sprocket can slide off of drive shaft. No matter which way I put the Sprocket and lock washer on it does not line up and will not stay on the drive shaft. Am I doing something wrong??
I think I know what you mean sometimes it’s tricky to line up the lock washer with the sprocket. All I can tell you is make sure your putting the sprocket on the right way and if you can get the lock washer on far enough there should be a little ring of space where you can spin it to line up with the screw holes. Hopefully this helps.
@@hankssmallengines8654 thanks for the reply, upon further research the outer splines are broken off, think I found a fix that allows me to make something work
Watching in 2024. Good tutorial
Awesome thank you! Glad to hear it’s still helping people out!

I custom installed LED pods into my shroud.
Great video bro very helpful. Hows the kit holding up? also what kind of riding do you normally do, considering getting this kit as well.

Should the front sprocket be a little wobbly
Yes it will be wobbly that’s normal

Why not just get a longer chain? And rivet it? With a master link ?
Because then you don’t have room to tighten the chain once it starts to stretch out
how it break how many miles
I hit a rock and it broke the chain
The wire you grabbed at 2:18…. Whats that wire called
I don't know the exact name but it's a ground.
@@hankssmallengines8654 i got it. Its the neutral switch w/ reverse.
How did you remove the old chain?
There is a master link that you can take out and then get the chain off
thanks
