John Wick: Chapter 2 is a 2017 American neo-noir action-thriller film directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Derek Kolstad. The film is a sequel to John Wick (2014) and the second installment in the John Wick franchise. It stars Keanu Reeves as the title character, alongside Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo Scamarcio, Ruby Rose, Lance Reddick, Peter Stormare, Bridget Moynahan, Franco Nero, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane. Two theories: 1. he shot her in the head to be counted on him (that he furfilled his job). 2. he shot her right before she died, in order to keep her soul undoomed (to not be a suicide).

I think you're confusing "dated" with "mainstream." The first couple of John Wick movies were guys movies, but after the series went mainstream with 3 and 4, everyone claims they were a fan all along.

They're not cutting him out at the end, those orders that were going out were to every single agent and person involved in that world that he is now a bounty to be obtained. So anyone can now kill him in an hour. Winston gave him that extra hour due to their past history, being able to hold off in sending out that order shows the immense power he holds in that world
Everyone knows John Wick due to his legendary reputation as a highly skilled and deadly assassin within the criminal underworld. His efficiency in eliminating targets, the stories and legends surrounding him, and the respect mixed with fear that others have for him contribute to his widespread recognition. Moreover, his involvement in high-profile assignments and intense, public confrontations further solidify his notoriety in the world. That's why Its so hard for him to blend in the world of assassins.
The damage to his favorite car in retrieving it was not the point. The point was, if you take his car, he will come and get it, regardless of the outcome. It's the principle.

I saw this in a cinema in Sydney where the first movie didn’t have a theatrical release & felt like I was probably one of the only people in the session who knew what the go was.
I really hate the verbal “recap” at the beginning of the film, but I hadn’t considered there being any sizable population of people who hadn’t seen the first but were watching the second.

He didn't kill the girl in the last movie coz it is against the rules of the Contiental. He respects the institution and it had nothing to do with the fact that she was a woman. She however was stupid enough to kill Henry for which she was punished.

He gave John an hour before he excommunicated him. And he is no longer able to use any of the services in connection to the continental. Services like the tailor, the weapons dealer, the doctor in the first film or the guy who leads the group of homeless people. And yes John’s bounty is now up to 14 million. Even his gold coins will be useless but a token/ ticket like the one santino presented to John supersedes a excommunication
Common is the black guy assassin. Got his start doing electronica rap. Was in one of the greatest cult classic movies of all time...LOADED with hitmen, Smokin Aces! The older hitman? The 60s original Django and in Tarantino's movie, Django! And in Force ten from Navarrone with Harrison Ford and Robert Shaw!!!!😮😮😮 And yes, Matrix guy is back!

In the first movie he let those go that gave him some kind of information remember when he had the gun to her head he almost begged her to give him something which she did.
"Assassin Train Station" as you called it is the Oculus by World Trade Center, using the Path Train stop that goes to New Jersey, and they were using a Path Train for the knife fight (blue chairs). I used to ride the Path Train to that stop everyday going to and from work.
You talked over some of the best dialogue in the movie. Two great lines between 38:00 and 39:00. Hopefully you caught them in the edit.

Wick's wife's name is Helen, and I'm pretty sure that's a reference to Helen of Troy. Both Helens ended up being the motivation for war.
Although it worked in the first film, mainly because it was SOOO crucial to the plot and the motivation for all of the events of the film, the killing of the puppy was an incredibly risky move by the makers of this movie.
Killing animals in film is probably one of the easiest ways to ensure it fails unless it is ABSOLUTELY critical to the film. They would NEVER risk that being the motivation of more of John Wick's violence mainly because it would fail simply because people don't like that even when it IS crucial to the plot.
OMG I almost choked laughing when you were so worried John would "smash it up" as he began driving his car smashing into one of the gangsters after he'd broken into the warehouse at the beginning knowing what he was about to do...🤣🤣🤣

John is just better, smarter and more tactical than all of them. Always anticipating the worst case scenario.
He shot the sister in the head just before she died to "save her soul". Instead of letting her die by suicide.
I'm thrilled that you immediately understood the true reason why John's house burning down was a tragedy (i.e. all the mementos of his wife) rather than just a financial loss. Truly unforgivable.
Three is my favorite. Although ALL the others are outstanding. Including number 4. Which is totally insane. There are rumors of a number 5 also.

Wick didn't kill Perkins in the hotel because he didn't want to violate the rules, even though he probably would have been forgiven because it was in self-defense.
Where everyone stood still and Winston gave John 1 hour was about 20 feet from where Perkins was killed for the same breach of Continental rules.

Keanu Reeves messed up his knees in this movie if I remember correctly because of doing most of his stunts, the knee injuries are from getting hit by the cars.

Hey Coby. How are you doing? I had this reaction ready to watch soon after it was available, but I put off watching it until now, because I knew it would have to come to an end shortly after. I wanted to have something to look forward to after a bad day, and even though it is not the entirety of the movie, and I am not actually watching it with you, the time that I spend watching these reactions puts me in the most positive of moods and gives me better feelings than I have had in quite some time. The reason no one shoots anybody in the heas is cause you train as a shooter to aim for center mass cause its the largest part of the body compared to the head, and when your moving around even the most skilled marksman would have difficulty hitting the head(not impossible, but very very difficult).

John let her go into unconscious before killing her because they were friends in the past, but he had to shoot her as proof that he did the job.
During WW1 1 soldier with fully automatic machinegun killed 7000 enemy soldiers so if they all attacked John at same time, all he has to do is flip selector switch to full auto, since he was shooting green tip ammo (armor piercing) he would wipe out over 200 in less than 2 minutes with just 4 magazines. In combat training they give you simple rules to remember. Don't be there when bullet arrives (keep moving) and little bullet big world (hitting an object with a bullet infinitesimally smaller require a lot of training or dumb luck)

8:56 The way John absolutely wrecks the mustang while recovering it has led many to speculate that it wasn't the car, itself but the contents of the glove compartment that were important to him. The only other speculation I've heard that seems plausible is that John loves the car for what it can do, so he was reveling in making the fullest possible use of its capabilities. (You don't own a race horse so it can saunter on small trails; you own it so it can RUN!) 🏇

John didn't really have a choice but to break the rule. Santino was taking over New York, and he was just going to stay in the hotel, so that John couldn't kill him. If John left the hotel the $7 million contract was still on his head, so he would have assassins after him all the time anyway. If Santino took control of New York, he may even take control of the hotel itself and if that happened, he could revoke John's membership anyway and have him killed. Killing Santino in the hotel didn't really change John's circumstances that much, but it ended Santino's takeover of the city, and came with the added bonus of John getting his revenge. So, it was really the only choice, rules and consequences be damned.
If the bad guys come at him with too many people at once they would end up shooting each other
