I can't help but chuckle at the "hurry up", "5 minutes too late!", and the running from the car to the yard sales, driving frantically to the next one, and that sense of urgency to make it to the next one as quickly as possible before all the good stuff is gone! - I was a weekly yard saler for over 30 years. That " rush" as you race to the next one, hoping that is where your biggest, best find of the century is.
On Long Island we had the weekly Pennysaver that listed yard sales. I would get my pen and paper on Friday night and make up my list for Saturday morning lift off. It was pretty common to have between 50-70 yard sales within my town of Huntington & surrounding areas for Sat & Sun.
I would start my day by ordering (at a mini-mart in town) my "heart attack" (yep, that's what it was called) breakfast sandwich and coffee to go and off I went!

The WORST estate sales are in up scale neighborhoods ! Everything is NEW and expensive.
We were in a tourist area recently and the coffee shop had cut up burlap coffee bags all over the walls. It was so cool looking.

We used a birdcage at my daughters wedding for people to put cards in. They just slid them through the sides. She put a plant in it later.

It reminded me of my late mother-in-law. When we would go garage-saling many many years ago she was so excited that she would literally have the passenger door of the car open before I even came to a complete stop. 😂😂😂

The little wooden piece you pointed out in the beginning of the yard sale is a combination piece...a seat, a nicknack shelf, an ironing board, all in one. I have one, the back is covered so you can use it to iron on.

The Fretwork wooden rack looked to be for holding those small collected spoons, the ones for places and events.
I did the same thing with the Chubaka mask. My husband and I were in goodwill he put it on for the camera. It came home with us. Lol

We have been married for 42 years and have had a king bed forever…..never a queen….in a hotel we get two queens if no k8ng available…..need space!!! We just go the new ProSmart Temperpedoc with all the bells and whistles and a split king…..love it….I like soft and he likes a med….soooooo

You and Roger do so well with selling together. Once again, I had a possible buyer lead me on. She wanted to meet me at a location near the river where I live. She gave me a phone number, so I called it to set up a time to meet. She hung up on me twice. Did some research on her and her husband from info on her FB page. Followed that up with a google search. Turned out he passed away in 2021. Sounded fishy that she owned a boat and was going to the dock. My son didn't like the meeting location the women suggested. Sent her a message that she had hung up on me twice so the sale was off. Reported her to FB, blocked her and deleted chats. Changed the meet-up place on the two items to the Police station across the highway from where I live that has a lot of traffic going by. I think this was a set up for a robbery.
