  • Thousands of torches lit up streets across Edinburgh, kicking off Hogmanay celebrations on Friday (29 December).
Some 20,000 torches lit the streets of Scotland’s capital, as friends and families from all over the world gathered for the Edinburgh Hogmanay torchlight procession.
In what marked the beginning of the 30th Edinburgh’s Hogmanay festival, this year’s procession brought singing, cheering, and laughter to thousands of people.
The procession left the Meadows, travelling through the Royal Mile, passing by a number of Edinburgh landmarks including Greyfriars Kirkyard, before finishing at Castle Terrace, with Edinburgh Castle in the background.

Yes we in Scotland must retain our history and culture as in England the Tories and Reform are tearing the UK apart. England is now named Angerland. Gravely out of control and many refuse to see it.

Nothing to do with migrants all enjoyed a good time all enjoyed each other's history and culture.
The UK is made up of 4 nations all having their own history and culture. Are the three nations not to have that?
Scotland will retain its history and culture no matter what happens in England and would think N Ireland and Wales the same
Maybe if Citizens of England or Angerland not all citizens don't want that then what is the point of the UK. Maybe best if England goes its own way.

@lindacurrie8817 It is to do with migrants. 10 million over the last few years, most don't and will never work. They take up the hospital and gp appointments.
