- Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a kid at heart with an old soul, and has leveraged both of these aspects of himself to settle into his role as a leader, franchise quarterback, and inspiration for the patients at Oishei Children’s Hospital. As Allen navigates the ups and downs of Buffalo’s 2021 season, he was able to attend the dedication of the Patricia Allen Pediatric Recovery Wing at OCH, an honor made possible thanks to the donations of Bills fans after the passing of Allen’s grandmother last season.

When he was drafted I thought he would be a bust. There's something that prospect analysis can't show: intangibles. Josh Allen improved his on field ability, but that was possible because of his personality, determination, etc.

After 7 TD on 7 drives last week against NE, he solidified his position as top 3 in the league NFL wide, and just a good dude all around. Such a treat seeing him grow up.
I don't live in Buffalo. But I identify so much with the town and have had the good fortune of attending Bills games for over 20 years coming down from Canada. The first I heard of this man was when he threw a bomb during the combine. I think over 80 yards with no effort, no body english needed = my version. :-) I have no doubt the legend will grow bigger over time, like Paul Bunyan. I so enjoy watching him play, and the entire team, my team = the Buffalo Bills. His heart with the children is what it's all about.

@@ellioteisler well i was a Texans fan because of JJ watt. But when I read about Allen story about he sent a 1000 letters to colleges, grew on a small middle of nowhere town. Feel like it’s 100% Josh to be all embarrassed about being reminded he broke a promise to a kid. Just a super genuine young man with an absolutely enormous heart. Was it luck or fate that brought him to Buffalo? Who will ever know, but somehow the combination has been magic and we’re all the better for it. Look forward to lots more years of on field fun and growing as part of our community. Whatever legacy Josh leaves behind him will inextricably be part of who Buffalo is forever now and it appears that’s a thing he’s quite ready for the challenge of living up to.

I've never loved a player so much. As soon as I saw him in the combine and at the draft in that purple suede suit and the Bills hat, the future never looked so bright. I was all in from day 1 and I've enjoyed every single play that Josh Allen has touched the ball. This guy is truly special.
Don't forget what that suit was lined with and what that stands/stood for for this young man! Wyoming Cowboy through and through as well as a Buffalo Bill through and through! Go Josh! So many people are pulling for this guy!

The best thing about Josh is that he dealt with his share of adversity and he worked hard to get through it. The chips fell nicely for him in the end and as of 2022 he's doing really well.

I still remember when i heard Buffalo drafted this kid. I thought they drafted josh rosen... and i almost cried!!! When my best friend corrected me.. i was ecstatic!!!! Go Bills!!!
I'll admit I was wrong on Allen. I didn't really know that much about both Allen and Rosen but Rosen seemed more pro ready and was more accurate then Allen. The major difference between them that wasn't mentioned was character. Allen is a genuine person who works hard to be the best and then works harder to be better.

My son had Kawasaki disease and we were in woman and children's hospital for 3 weeks. I never knew anyone else who. Had that disease! Brought tears to my eyes bc my son was in so much pain!!! Broke my heart💔

I recall watching the "Super Cade" video of him his rookie season. He is just so genuine and a heart of pure gold. His parents raised him right, for sure. All the rest is icing on the cake. Oh yeah, seems he's turning into one of the best to ever play the game.
I'm not from Buffalo but I've been a Bills fan for over 30 years now because the people of Buffalo and Western NY are so genuine and great that they're like the neighbors I always wanted wherever I've lived. We suffered SOOOOOOO long since Kelly retired but apparently the Big One upstairs had a plan all along.
