Glad he’s still doing what he loves. Time is catching up slowly though with vocal quality. A little flat in some parts it sounded like but the fact he’s doing this and putting it out there now is fantastic.
This song is one of the best examples of this man's greatness. He writes, plays, produces, and best of all sings like no one else ever will. From the day he cut his first record, his voice stands out unequalled to this day. I really love this song.
Brian Wilson is such a production genius that he's able to make modern equipment sound sonically full and just as lively as in the old days. This recording is epic.
I just heard this song earlier this week, been a fan since 1964, Beach Boys #1 of all times, they rocked the so. calif surf scene, you had to be there.....love this song! thanks for sharing....Brian was the genius behind this amazing group of talent!
mit dem mitreißenden positiven Song, der tollen Gruppe und einem Genius Brian Wilson in Höchstform gelingt ein superber Start in ein Neues Jahr!! Danke für das Teilen des Videos
One of the forgotten songs by the Beach Boys that tells the story of life. Everything's Gonna Pass so play and enjoy while it lasts. The Beach Boys Spirit and Songs Forever keep md young at age 59. Love their inspiration of American Summers and Life.
Must say with Brian's return to touring with the first Pet Sounds tour and subsequent tours Smile and That Lucky Old Sun, the backing vocals and instrumentals were spot on making his return an absolute delight to behold and enjoy, this takes me straight back to those concerts
There aren't too many songs that can soar with just a verse and chorus, rather than a verse, chorus and a discernible bridge. Johnny Cash's I Walk The Line is one of them (although that two-bar key change could pass for a bridge in a pinch). So is It's O.K. Absolute, utter perfection.
Great version though I watched in CZcams gigs from the last tour where he sings it in a more relaxed way and it sounds similar to the original. Anyway, I love it. This man is the last survivor, a great genius with a big heart and soul. I wish he'll recover his form, the last concerts he looked tired. He is 80, I know, but he gave and give us so much I can't think about the time all this ends.
I have never been a big fan of the original version but I love this one. Brian is really having fun here. This sounds so much better than his "talking" lead vocals on his Pet Sounds shows or his lifeless and autotuned vocals on No Peer Pressure. Thankfully, they kept Joe Thomas away from this recording session.
I think with Brian being in control it makes him feel more confident and relaxed. Looks like he was having a good time here. I've seen many Pet Sounds show on here and Brian just seems to be out of breath and very dazed but says he loves touring. He really becomes a different person in the studio though.
Don't know if it has been mentioned but are there members of the Fendertones doing the backing vocals with Brian's band members(wondermints plus others) ?
Listen, I like the Beach boys, I like Brian Wilson, he wrote a lot of the stuff if not most of it. But his voice does not sound good anymore. He sounds like some guy they just pulling off the street to sing a song. Sorry, there’s a lot of good singers on CZcams, but he’s not one of them.
@@arthurmilano2920 did you read any of the books about this guy, he drove everyone around him nuts, when Jeff Beck did some work with The Beach Boys, his only comment was somebody should get that guy some help, that whole family was whack a doodle, oh yeah, and I guess they wrote a couple good songs
Gotta love how he just sings the HELL out of it !!!
Andrew - wish that you and the Smiley Smile camp could have a peace summit. That board was better with your input.
@@BlueEyes-gp8lg Old Surfer Dude 4 Life
Agreed!
On stage Brian suffers from terrible stage fright and at times looks dazed but in the studio all of it just goes away. He's stronger than he looks.
Absolutely
I smiled most seeing and hearing Brian sing brother Dennis' "Find a ride" part there at the end. Sweetness
He actually sounds a lot like Dennis did then!
so true@@brianborba8299
omg. I thought all this time he was saying "Fun to run".
@@jerrysmith2354Me too
Great to see Brian belting those notes out at the end.
OMG. !!! That Just blew me away. Brian Wilson still got it folks.
I missed this! Love this song.. wish Denny was still here to sing the bridge
This song doesn't have a bridge.
Brian wild mode
The Find a Ride part was particularly impressive
I could hear a little bit of Dennis in that...love it 💙
Notice he's looking up at heaven when he sings "Find a Riiiiiiidddde"
Or maybe just, up? Hahaha just toying ya :)
Lookin up and remembering Dennis Wilson.( That was the part of the song that he sang)
Glad he’s still doing what he loves. Time is catching up slowly though with vocal quality. A little flat in some parts it sounded like but the fact he’s doing this and putting it out there now is fantastic.
Psych meds catching up
@@TylerBergeronMusic thank you Dr Bergeron, and for your next diagnosis, why Mike Love sounds like shit and he ain’t on meds

This world was made better by Brian and his music. I have all his songs
Way to go Brian. Great to see you back in the saddle. And so good, too.
Respect 👍
Thanks Brian for all the great music of my lifetime 🫡

Love you Brian!!!
It brought a smile to my face and of course I'm going to share this video for my fellow Beach Boys/Brian Wilson fans.
Merry Christmas sir.
We as an earthly people are so blessed having you here with us.
Respect that they didn’t autotune the hell out of this. Fun version. Just wish the “yeaaaah” in the chorus was in the right place

Is Long promised road all new versions?
@@knockedoutloaded279there’s a few unreleased tracks from the 90s but otherwise it’s all new
Always good to see and hear Brian sing and be happy.
Such a great song! Hadn’t heard it before Long Promised Road movie! So glad I watched it! Brian Wilson, we love your music!
Love you Brian!! Rock on!!

Nicky, one of the backup singers here, died in 2018 so this is an earlier recording.
Not true. This was recorded in 2019 and he died late summer 2019. This was probably one of his last recordings with Brian.
This was Beautiful!!!

Brian was my Dads favorite artist . Genius
Finally, someone knows how to do a transparent tune job on Brian!
Love it. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all.
Hut ab👌 ,weiter so .ich liebe es ❤ grüße aus Deutschland ( Hamburg ) 👍
My error, Nicky died later in 2019. He is so missed.
It's so fucking joyous that song
OMG He still got it Wowwwwwww
Always loved this song. Background vocals are solid here. Keeping it positive.
Absolutely The Best Guy, Congrats 💥🇨🇦👌

1:20 Nick.
That's Carney!
So nice to see.
Go Brian Go!!!!!
oh man, this doenst takes me back to my teenage golden years, because this is not from my time and im not even american, but sure its a good song
his voice is still so young!
Brian still has it, and Darian Sahanaja and the rest of the band kick ** right along with him! #wondermints
Much better lead singer.
Brain is still a beast
Beach Boys best band of all time!!!
❣️❣️❣️

Brian singing his heart out for Dennis there.

This had to be recorded before 2020 because Nicky Wonder died in late 2019.
Brian! It would be so awesome if you could sing "I Feel Fine" again. I listen to that in the cocaine sessions whenever I feel... emotions.
He's still got remnants of his falsetto voice.
Don't know if it has been mentioned but are there members of the Fendertones doing the backing vocals with Brian's band members(wondermints plus others) ?
Think you are right, I would say there are👍
Cool lyrics, Brian had great lyricists...sometimes you gotta give credit where credit is due
Oh yeah. Mike's lyrics flow perfectly for this song. Its OK is just amazing
Brian still has the ability to sing as the best!
thinking, being young it's more fun, being close to 70years and not that eager anymore to I suppos sing out, but what the heck
Better vocals in his late 70s than Mike had on the original song.
Age catches up with us sooner or later.
With a bit of auto-tune Brian would be great on this.
BEACH BOYS FOREVER
Notice the f'n beatles aren't doing anything like this.
roflmao
Bizzare
Hmm, am I the only one here who thinks that his today's voice doesn't suit this song at all?
Listen, I like the Beach boys, I like Brian Wilson, he wrote a lot of the stuff if not most of it. But his voice does not sound good anymore. He sounds like some guy they just pulling off the street to sing a song. Sorry, there’s a lot of good singers on CZcams, but he’s not one of them.
That is so rude. He's so close to his demise, it's not about sounding good. Even if it's an opinion that is obvious as day. Respect the damn legend.
