Trying for what? Is this the lottery, or possibly a sign to do things differently?

Or adoption? Why is that option so overlooked every time?

@@thomaspace7792 Adoption is not overlooked, but it is very very expensive. You can pay thousands of dollars to adopt and the birth mother can change her mind. Not everyone has that kind of money. And many people try to say, well if you can't afford to adopt you can't afford to have kids, but that just isn't true. Biological children don't cost $30K up front plus the cost of getting everything you need for the child (crib, carseat, etc.) Many people can afford the basics that they need for a baby, and can afford the monthly expense. But who has $30K lying around on top of all of that? Not the average person. It's so sad that adoption costs that much. There is also a waiting list for adoption. There are more couples trying to adopt than kids up for adoption. Most children in foster care are not up for adoption. Their parents are working on fixing their lives and the goal of foster care is reunification with birth families. And sometimes it looks like a child is free for adoption, but the process will start and a biological relative will change their mind and decide they do want to take the child. I know multiple people who have had this happen. Don't get me wrong, adoption is a beautiful and wonderful thing, but it can be very expensive and very very difficult.

The name of the book is "Ours: Biblical Comfort for Men Grieving Miscarriage" by Eric Schumacher. It is a 31-day devotional giving biblical comfort and practical support to men processing miscarriage. It was published by The Good Book Company in 2022.
