- Welcome to the start of a Lone Wolf series. This entire play through was pre-recorded in preparation for me and my fiancé relocating over 3000 km in the next month. Unfortunately I will not be able to take name requests or use any suggestions you may give me. I will still be able to chat with you in the comments so any feedback is appreciated. This will not be a perfect run, mistakes will be made and things will be missed. I hope you enjoy and thank you for watching!

The map event requires you to have either a historian or a thief to get a reward. Otherwise you just get swindled out of crowns.
Good to know
The prices of shields and tools are a great indication of the economy in each town. Weissenstadt was buying shields at 20 which is a phenomenal price, 20% more than you sold the banditos' gear for in the next town over.
Tools have a huge range in price and getting them in bulk for less than 200 saves a ton of dosh in the early game (although it's less relevant in this start.)
Enjoyed the episode, leaving this tip mainly for the algorithm.

I have just bought the game, played like one or two hours in tutorial mode and "I got an arrow on my knee" I got addicted, so I went and bought all DLCs and I tried lone wolf. I really liked it and been playing it since. Cause when i started the tutorial I was like the captain but I didn't have my own character that represent me..so gameplay didn't make sense to me until I played lone wolf.

One thing I'd recommend is to not go too heavy into missiles since you'll never be able to switch them out vs enemies they're bad against like Ancient Undead as your roster size is limited to 12.
The south is a worthwhile visit btw as the arena bonus is nice and the exp potions when soloing are iiiinsaaaanely good!
Agreed, we only pick up a couple ranged units this run.

The Lone Wolf is so good even with a full group you will get so many kills you will level fast!

Visit training hall, only fight brigands.

Tried this scenario the first time and I got stun-locked on the first contract battle 😂

Late to the party i know but i got stun locked in about 20 seeds the only one where i had "success" was the one without any battles and only 5 citys with only caravan no fights contracts... in a freaking row... making this work is a loading screen party and no fun at all...
I kinda want to say, Being the lone wolf is the greatest thing when you work alone just like guts from anime in berserk. Which is why lone wolf is a better one as a solo. 😁
Playing a solo line wolf would be an interesting challenge.

The combat in Broken Ranks is a lot better, but as of right now this seems deeper. Broken Ranks isn’t finished though and is still being developed.
Broken Ranks does seem like an interesting game. I may have to check it out.
@@ImpactEasy I hope the game goes as deep as this though, but it does have some of the same concepts. Like taking supplies and selling them in other territories for more. Classes actually have abilities they can use in battle. The characters have trades like a miner, a blacksmith, thief, tinkerer, and things like that.
36:37 WHen they lost morale U can move with out taking any dmg, there no close combat control area.
So U can kill and move on and Locked them down. with ur control area.

Morale is key part of some battles.

I only recently discovered your channel, searching for a newish LP for BB that isn't in it's 20th season and communicates knowledge through abbreviations and memes. So far i only went through like a quarter of the backlog, but was wondering if you burnt out on the game eventually since there was no new video for the last 3 months. Glad to see that is not the case. I guess i can switch to this series just to be current. In any case, i wish you the best of luck.
On a side note, i find BB very hard to approach as a total newbie. Did you watch another series before attempting your own LP ? I guess the mods help a bit, but i still feel somewhat lost a few weeks in.
Also, best of luck with the moving. Sounds like a bit of work ^^.
PS: Also thanks for bringing Rising Lords back to my attention. I had it on my watchlist, but eventually decided not to try it out because i heard it is a long road from being feature complete and kinda forgot about it again. Very much looking forward to the eventual release - Lords of the Realm II -vibes all the way ! :)
Thank you for your kind words. To answer your question, no I wasn't burnt out on the game. Mostly I just wanted to take a break from BB and play something different for the channel. Second , my limited knowledge for the game comes from mostly trial and error. Also viewer's have helped by commenting on my videos giving pointers along the way. BB is very intricate and challenging, even if you do everything right things can still go bad quickly. I'm still a noob to the game myself but learn something new all the time. The biggest advice I can give for the game is to just have fun. I don't think there is a "perfect" way to play. Play the way you want.

I recently started playing Battle Brothers. It's very challenging, and very fun. Discovering the various surprises is great. I'm currently in my longest game, somewhere in day 50ish. Which DLC is this scenario, Lone Wolf in?

At 36.44 you said I wish I could catch this guy but you didnt move next to him after you killed the guy blocking your way. You would've got two attacks of opportunity and killed them both
21:55 ...im confussed...why Lone Wolf? and not Underdog to avoid negative debuffs when fightin more than 1 enemy and for the enemies not to get bonuses from flanking? next after that would be the perk that gives you +5 defence per hit on enemies....and that combos well with AXE spec round swing on doublehanded axes. Lone Wolf perk would be somewhere down the bottom of my priorities.
I think my plan at that point was to make him a flanking unit were he would be on his own swinging around the enemy.

Personally I’m partial to going south just to get a two handed cleaver from nomads. I turn my lone wolf into a cleaver duelist whip who sits in the middle of frontline by end game.
I understand lone wolf and fortified mind are really useful at the time, but not for end game.
Do you just get the potion to respect perks and/or the extra single perk potion?
You are right about fortified mind but also the Lone Wolf perk. Both are a necessary evil for the early game. At least for me. Sorry, it's been a couple months since I recorded the ep and not sure exactly what potion you are referring too?
The potion of oblivion, very hard to make, and apparently the library legendary location can reward you with two potions that give an extra perk point
gifted is so wasted.. that hurt.. colossus will save your main char unbelievably amounts of times. 9 lives is also wasted on most occasions, esp. on lone wolf as it only prevents a single attack and most of the times you will get attacked more than that. fortified mind is an insanely good choice as well. ;)
for other new players:
keep a 100 gold item in you inventory to judge the sell price. 15-20 is good, everything above is insanely good. below you should only sell if you have to.
tools above 250 are wasted gold. tools below 200 are instant grabs. repair everything worth 300 or more with the exceptions of high-durability-low-value armors.
try to learn to decipher the quests. you can accept them and have them on hold indefinitely with no penalty. (they will vanish after like 5 days or so).
thugs are your early game XP/Lootbringers.
after that go for more human lootbringers. (aka humans)
moral is you best friend for everything that has moral (humans, beasts of all kinds).
archers are stupidly overpowered. a pure damage archer with a warbow (or famed) can become so strong, that he can get 3 kills per round and even if he doesnt kill, he wounds and deals moral damage from insane ranges. (i.e. crippling strikes)
2h swords, cleavers, whips and billhooks are your friends.
shield are indispensable.(i.e. shield expert for tanks)
if you have any form of ranged: get executioner
battle forged is better for most cases (imho)
berserk and killing frenzy are a must have (on any char) as well as steel brow and colossus (which will keep you alive).
masteries heavily depend on what you build. cleaver, pole, sword and ranged are top notch. hammer, flail, mace, axe, dagger are wasted. spear mostly only for spearwall (defensive).
fortified mind/brawny, rotation (tanks and 2H DPS), footwork (ranged) are also top notch skills
with this and some careful playstyles, you can get to the end without loosing a single bro. :)
have fun enjoying this game, though only buy it on sale, as the devs are greedy af.
PS: QoL Mods are recommended, even on first play through:
EIMO, better battle standard, tweaks&fixes and if you want to "customize" you starting char for a specific scenario: bb-edit, broditor and itemspawner
for good backgrounds (wiki helps):
hedge knights for high end DPS (expensive though)
archers are god tier
adventurous nobles are allround good, but excellent bannermans
swordmasters can be squishy, but still are good.
sellsword, wild man and squires are good
otherwise go for "battle related" origins (i.e. no farmers, thiefs and absolutly no "bad/evil" origins, as all of them are weak af).
