You really do need to see them. They're just as good live. Best concert I've ever been to.
Seconded, got to see them live a few months ago and they put on an incredible show.
These guys never stop surprising me. For this tune, they managed to create a new and original language and made it sound not human. Truly awesome, pure fire.
All of these guys are talented X 100...you can't buy talent that..these guys are my favorite band like forever....great reaction btw
I think you might already have heard this but the 4 main members also go under elements in the band.
The lead Singer is "Thunder"
The lead Horse Fiddle(sp?) player is "Fire"
The Guy who seem to run the chants, play the mouth harp and flutes is "Wind"
And the guy on the remaining traditional string instrument goes under "Water"

WEll they're all good, personally I'd suggest "The Same" over song of Women, but we all got our preferances

Shansky, I love watching your reaction to this song. I feel exactly the same way. It made me speechless. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Hu Band. I love everything about them. The energy, the artistry, the instruments. They touch something deep, deep in my soul. I didn’t know how much my life had been missing before I heard them, now I know I cannot live without them.
Sugaan Essena is the baddest (meaning greatest of all time) songs I have ever heard. So much so that I recently had to drive from Salt Lake City, Utah to Elko, Nevada, which is like a three-hour drive. Half-way through I created a playlist that included Sugaan Essena, Wolf Totem, Yuve Yuve Yu, and The Great Chinggis Khaan (all by the Hu Band). My playlist had Sugaan Essena twenty times in a row, then the other songs once, then Sugaan Essena...All at full volume. It was the best nearly two-hour drives through the desert, I have ever taken. I think I even finished the trip by taking the long way so the song could finish.
I found a transliteration (translated so English speakers can understand) on
www.starwarsfandom.com, by Leema Kai (the moderator of the website). I don’t know if you know that this song is not in Mongolian. It is a language made up by the members of The Hu Band and the creators of Star Wars.

Listen to the music video before singing the lyrics. Some of the lyrics might be off-point, but since they use Mongolian throat singing vocals, it made some lines difficult to interpret.

I watched them twice last year in San Francisco and Oakland. They sound much better in live. The Hu 👍🤘🤘

I read this is in a made up language, so there is no real lyrics to it... It's because it's in the Star Wars language... That was the idea behind it
Yea? I’m pretty sure it was just in Mongolian? I checked out some of the lyrics and they are defo singing about something 😂
They wrote the original version in Mongolian and performed that on their live tours last year: look for clips of a song called "Black Thunder". Then the Star Wars folks translated it into this fictional language to become the version recorded for the game.
