I've always liked the way that the Wendigo seem to value their kinfolk more than a lot of other tribes, aside from maybe the Bone Gnawers. They've always given me this kind of strong contrasting feeling, which goes well with the theory that Wendigo was originally Sasquatch.
Yea, not a lot of the tribes seem to respect kin folk the way they should.

What if a Wendigo has a Totem made from a caribou skull that helps them hunt? Would that be cool?
I wouldn't be surprised if wendigo used bone in their various rituals or decorations.
one of my favourite tribes. the archetype of the resentful and reluctant hero is a classic, and their ferocity is equal to any get you can find.

Thank you for the more Indepth explanation. Using a creature like a nightmare can make for good stories but to know that it was meant as something less sinister is really neat.

@@sn327195 the pure ones are a name, self given, to the original werewolve tribes living in North America before its "discovery" from Europe
You're confusing Breed(ancestry) and Form(current shape). Homid(and Lupus too) is both a Breed and a Form. Crinos is just a Form. The overwhelming majority of Werewolves, depending on the Tribe, will be either Homid or Lupus as their Breed. A very small percentage will be the inbred Metis, this is what I think you were thinking of. As far as the Wendigo are concerned, most of the examples of NPCs I can think of were all Homid, for what that's worth.
