I’m still shook about Natalie Portman. NEVER would’ve guessed that was a stage name.
She changed her name bc of her role in Leon (thr professional) apparently. Her role has sexual undertones as her character had a crush on the older mentor guy and she was 12/13 at time of filming so changed it for privacy reasons. Neta-Lee became Natalie and Portman is/was her maternal grandma's last name

Yess!! I just watched her interviews from early/mid 2000s when she just finished AI and she still talks the same, very comfortable in her skin, and always true to herself. I’m so glad the music biz doesn’t change her!❤️

For you Kelly(and anyone else who wants to know): Bruno got his first name was at the age of two, he was nicknamed "Bruno" by his father because of his resemblance to professional wrestler Bruno Sammartino and he decided on Mars because since he has a Puerto Rican last name everyone wanted him to do spanish or latin music which he did not want to do so he changed his last name although I do not know the reason he chose Mars.
In an interview in Graham Norton show, he said the name Mars was chosen because it's "out of this world"

I knew the original a little from hearing it occasionally on the classics stations but as a teen hearing the Diana one regularly, that version has become the one that stuck in my mind even now. I still remember watching him perform it at her service.

The first time I heard a Bruno Mars song was in 2011 & I was sitting under that HUGE Banyan tree at the Ala Moana Hotel in Waikiki sipping a Mai Tai with my daughter. It was "Count On Me".... and we were hooked!! That song is SO catchy!!

I have no idea what shows were on TV or what music was cool for the better part of the early 2000s; I was raising lil humans. I watched kids stuff & enjoyed SILENCE in my car.🤫😅😂 I finally saw in The Office in 2013 & pretty much skipped everything that was on the radio from 2000-2010.
