The only thing greater than your incredible musical talent is your level of compassion and caring for all creatures large and small. Most people seeing a sick or injured animal feel sorry for it but few act to help it, certainly not to the extent of taking it in feeding it and trying to get it back on its feet or taking it to a rescue shelter. Well done!!
"The best portion of a man's good life is his little, nameless unremembered acts of kindness and love." William Wordsworth. It’s an old quote, woman’s good life too.
Linda, you are the most caring and compassionate person I have ever known. Thanks for this uplifting video. Too bad more people in this world don't have a heart as big as yours. 💗❤
This is the first time I have ever seen a human feeding a baby bird. It caused tears to form immediately. How wonderful this world would be if it was filled with compassion to match yours.
Listening to this very honest and emotional story, and seeing the beautiful tenderness in your tears, was both touching and enlightening. Cyrano said there is nothing more sublime than tears. With a heart as big as yours, it’s no wonder you are the artist that you are. There’s a special place in heaven for you, where every animal you ever helped will be waiting. God loves you Linda, and so do I. ❤❤❤
The babies always find you…especially the baby birds! Animals are clearly drawn to you. It happens to me, too. No idea why. We could probably fill Noah’s ark with all of our rescues! 😊❤
Morning! Think I mentioned in one of my other posts that this continues to happen to me out on my back deck! They nest above the sunsetter and I try my best to keep the babies alive but sometimes it just doesn’t work out😒 So sad. I too found a baby squirrel abandoned last year out back and actually took it to that same shelter. They are really amazing people!🙏🙏 lucky they are close by!
You have such a sweet and kind heart. Thank you for always trying your best to save injured and abandoned animals. Your actions speak volumes. Your video buzzed my phone during the intermission of the Mary Chapin Carpenter concert tonight in New Orleans. Seeing the notification reminded me of the video I saw with both of you as you sat on horses and sang “oh what a beautiful morning”. 😊 Looking forward to seeing you in concert again soon. ❤️ from Louisiana
Lots of quail where I live. They nest in thickets on the ground and there are many chicks. So cute to watch them trail along with the rest of the family and see them as they grow up and become teenagers and then adults. Another good thing…no very high stepladder is needed for rescue. You really did get up there, didn’t you?Who else, right? Different subject, but how is the soursough journer? I’m still at it, but our temperatures just hit the triple digits, today. Hmmm So enjoy the vlogs, just wishing for more.
Thank you! I try! The sourdough bread baking is a regular occurrence. It is pretty much the only bread I have in the house now. I bake one loaf every 5 days or so. Love it.
@@lindaederofficialyoutube hope this is not too much bother, but how often and when do you feed your starter? Manny,Mo and Jack (who resides in the fridge,)don’t seem to be fed at the same time. I just need to do better. Thanks. Pat. And yes, they have nanes. What can I say 🤣
It's time for my bird story that happened a few minutes ago, Mom and I were taking a nap and we heard a thumping noise on the glass sliding door, and a wren was on the ground! It must have smacked its head on the glass and broken its neck but then a big bluejay came down and started to pull the dead bird's feathers out!!! I went to get a shovel from the garage and a stick to move the bird onto the shovel and chased the bluejay away from the dead bird, and pushed its body on the shovel, and then went to bury the poor thing with a prayer. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Nature sure is strange!
Linda I saw your next concert is June 17th in Wisconsin. In the same general area is Tempel Farms. The famous Lipizzan horses are there. I went years ago and saw their performance. Worth a visit.
I'm a wildlife carer. I specialise in Tasmanian Pademelons, who are small (cat-sized) wallaby related critters. Because marsupials carry their pouch young from a very undeveloped state, I usually have them about 5 - 6 months before they can actually be released. Advantage being, they just hang in a pouch for months. Here's one being bottle-fed. czcams.com/video/F6cgmiH9EmM/video.html
You probably already know that house sparrows and starlings are not native to the US and have contributed to the decline of our native songbird populations. Also, they are not protected by federal law, so I'm thinking that the animal rescue you found for the squirrel would not have taken the starling baby. However, I could be wrong.
Yes, I know. I found all this out in the last few years of researching the House Sparrows, Swallows and Starlings that nest in my horse barn. Every year I deal with the dead, injured or fallen babies of all three. I never know what I will find this time of year when I go down to my barn. Some people let nature "take its course", I , however, can not possibly ignore a living creature that is suffering.
As far as letting nature "take its course" goes, I consider myself as a part of nature, sooooo my intervention in helping injured animals is natural. You should put a large question mark on your barn door because who knows what you'll find next. Lol. Hopefully, it won't be human. Yikes!

You sure love those critters. Just like Elly Mae from the Beverly Hillbillies.
Thank you, Linda, for making this world a better place. 💖
You're such a good mommy!

My puppy and I watched your video. She was very interested in watching the starling eat. Hope everything works out well. You’re a peach!

So glad that you're there to take care of all these babies! Just amazing!
Lucky for you, you have Maureen to get you animal rescue advice.
You are such a kind person
