This same sensitive nervous nervous system is what makes you such a beautiful and caring person. Thanks for all that you do in lessening others anxiety.
I have in the past year suffered so bad with anxiety and now health anxiety. I've always suffered with depression and anxiety but the worst this year. It all started when I realized I'm getting older and I'm terrified of something happening and my kids being left alone. I have been spiraling down. I started with my hand shaking and clumsy then I worried I had ms it spread to my neck and twitching and now I have the tension in the head. I know its anxiety cause when I'm home and relaxed it goes away but when I'm at work and busy and stressed it gets worse. My issue is I magnify every single thing in my body and I immediately believe its some sort of illness even tho I know when calm it goes away. I need to figure out how not over think it and accept it is anxiety and I am ok. Your videos help alot. Especially knowing I'm not alone.
Great as always. I’ve been dealing with symptoms again and because of your help I know it’s because I’ve been dealing with extra stress and I don’t let it overwhelm me. Thanks for all your videos, they help me SO much ❤️
Right on the money. I've had a pretty good few days, and I'm feeling in a good place. Still... my nose twitches. It's not like the second you feel better in yourself, the symptoms just switch off automatically. If they did, health anxiety probably wouldn't be half as bad. Thanks again for spookily relatable content. Such a big help.
You are amazing and this is one of your best videos yet! Thank you 🙏 your help and reassurance is priceless 👏 Best wishes with your therapist career 😊 Carl UK
Yes our bodies are made that way but we should be able to teach our body and live like everyone else is there any way for that. It's a discussion not a question please just share your ideas.
I had a really sensitive nervous system as well, always felt like I was on edge and anxious, with all kinds of weird symptoms for years. It turned out to be low B12. My B12 was in "normal range" according to doctors at 371 ng/L, but after a lot of research I found anything under 400 can still be deficient (there are better ways to assess deficiency). Started taking high dose B12 and all my symptoms disapepared over 6 months. Things like twitching, cramping, tingling, anxiety, palpitations, muscle stiffness. All gone. Sometimes there can be simple explanations that are overlooked. My doctor balmed it all on anxiety, but even anxiety that I was having is gone since taking metyhlcobalamin (5000 mcg).
@@Frank-fi1fb Not really. I had peripheral neuropathjy, burning all over my skin, tingling, fast heart beat for over a year. Lots of palpitations, blurry vision in right eye, gastroparesis, and more. I'm also vegan and had stopped taking B12 for a year (got complacent) and so my B12 was probably even lower by September 2022, when the neuropathy really started (had the blood test in Feb of 2022). ALL the symptoms went away with B12, including the neuropathy.
@@matthewlake182 I am also vegan and am struggling with severe anxiety disorder along with symptoms. How long did it take for you to start to feel better while addressing the problem?
@@pebbles92able Probably 3-4 months for major improvements. I had a LOT of symptoms: Tingling, burning, gastrointestinal issues, blurry vision, palpitations, high heart rate, incresed body temperature, hypnic jerks, twitching, anxiety / panic attacks. Lack of dreaming (I could recall dreams after starting B12), bouts of dizziness that would come and go, sometimes lasting hours or days at a time. It all went away with Vitamin B12. It's worth doing a test to at least check it. It's often missed and the "normal" range in some areas of the UK is way too low. Studies show that serum B12 test isn't completely reliable, there are better ways to determine a deficiency such as active B12 test, mma, and homocystein levels.
Hi there! Just found your channel. My friend is struggling with what I believe is severe health anxiety causing symptoms, but I don’t know how to help her. I sent her one of you videos (asked her if it was okay first), but I don’t think she watched it. That or she is so convinced she has a real issue that she didn’t think it applied to her. She is convinced she has some GI issue. But I noticed a correlation between her thinking she had blood in her stool (doctor said she didn’t) and then less than a week later, she started getting other GI-related symptoms like abdominal pain. And then loss of appetite and bloating developed after that. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. She had all the tests done, and everything is clear. But she still believes it is something. I guess I just want to know how did you discover this is what you had? And what would you suggest a friend to do for someone who they believe has this affliction? It’s taking over her life and she is starting a program to get a master’s degree and PhD in less than a month. I’m just worried about her and want to help, but I don’t think I’m getting through to her.
Acceptance is the foundation of anxiety recovery .Like your videos, but I suffer from Social Anxiety, not health anxiety, though all the physical symptoms are common. I have to realise more than anything, that waiting for anxiety symptoms to disappear before moving forward and taking action is not conducive to recovery. As Susan Jeffers says in her book,Feel the fear and do it anyway,if you wait for your anxiety symptoms to go away before doing anything, you will be waiting a very long time. By accepting your anxiety symptoms as just the results of a sensitised nervous system caused by prolonged stress and worry, you can move on to the next stage of recovery. Keep up the good work from a fellow South Walian.
I know I'm anxious and my mind and body are very sensitive. I just need to know that's ok, but people don't think it's ok to be like that. They think something is wrong, but it's not fatal. Truth is I don't know what to think or do anymore
I’ve been suffering eye twitching for 6 months and had some bug crawling sensation in my forehead. Stuck in the BT / MS rabbit hole. It’s frustrating because I feel better but still get these.
Thanks Cherelle, I’ve recently accepted that I am a highly sensitive person in many ways and recognising that certain environments and situations just aren’t good for my nervous system and lead to psychosomatic symptoms in the long term. Hard to come to terms with. Did you ever suffer with health anxiety over mental illnesses? My anxiety sometimes gets so bad that I’m worried I will become psychotic or schizophrenic, recently realised this is linked to my health anxiety about developing a serious condition but sometimes it is hard to reassure myself just with that awareness.
I m in that journey for 5 months.. i don't know what's real anymore.. my daily routine is waking up talking to myself in my head and then watching videos about how to overcome anxiety.. my symptoms are all mental.. it makes me question i will one day be psychotic
