  • In this video i'll demonstrate how to quickly position heads/fixtures in Circle shape [using circular truss] and in line and then make a GRID out of fixture's position in PLOT view. And after that, we'll run pixelmapping effect on all our heads.

      Franklin Smith no worries. Always welcome. I’ll be making more videos as i have time. Magicq is such versatile software - and there is always a lot to learn. Happy to share my knowledge.

    Hi guys! I cant make the GRID happen. I am following all steps, and when click on "Create GRID" the following message appears "Could not fit into Grid". I have the following software version : 1.8.0.5 . MAC Is there any special setting to make this happen? TKS!

      if you paid attention, i believe I have mentioned about how enabled universes affect the grid size.
      means if you enable all 64 universes [even if you patched only across 5], you will be able to make a grid of 181 x 181 pixels. change horizontal and you can increase vertical - that is 32K channels = 64 universes. because MagicQ calculates currently as each pixel, even empty as possible place for pixel calculation.
      if your plot is too wide, and there are a lot of empty places in the plot, it may not fit into the grid, reduce the gap or filter per group - before trying to fit into a grid.

    Interesting but you have to bring all the colour percentages down to 0, I guess it’s just like recording a black palette.

    Is this possible with multi element fixtures as well? Can't seem to get it to work :/

    • @chamsysrus
      @chamsysrus  Před 2 lety

      as you already noticed, it's currently not possible to do so.
      it has been requested I believe, but right now you have to do it manually within grid view

      Oliver Parker is it possible that you have an old version of MagicQ? I assume you have a Pc or mac version. Update to latest stable and let us know if you still have the problem.
