  • A basic review of my 77# Cheonjigung CJG 천지궁
    It's about a month old at this stage and a bit too heavy for me at the moment. I couldn't get many clean passes through the chronograph, so will do this at another time when I become more proficient.
    Bought from Ace Archery in Korea.

    Swapped my 100gn points to 150grain bringing arrow weight to 475grain for a 6.2gpp this morning before practice. Will see how they shoot.

      Oh yes. Very snappy. It's the Segye's big brother.

    I'd look into getting a metal or horn thumb ring, a few other youtubers have had 3d printed/plastic thumb rings fail with no warning with bows around 70lb

      My brass ones are from AliExpress but can also be found in eBay / Amazon. Were about £10. Got three sizes 20,21 and 22 depending on weather and inflammation.
      The horn was from Daylite Archery

    I'm getting curious about ACE now...Have you corresponded with them much over email?

      @KTBIOM  Před 10 dny

      Yes. I did during the purchase, as you can imagine. Always responsive given the time difference.

      @@seanmccall7277 Thanks. I'd disagree. I'm doing all sorts of things with my right arm leading to inconsistent release. Best thing about filming myself is that i get to coach myself.

      @KTBIOM I understand completely. However, it's being critical and constantly unsatisfied that eventually leads us to great, natural technique. I've been a full time professional artist for 29 years now.. all I ever see are the mistakes.. However slowly...may we both keep working and improving! 🙏. Peace to you.

      Hello again, ..by the way.. is that a Scythian grip you're using?? I've only seen it on ancient Greek pots..

      @@seanmccall7277 no. I'm trying for a Korean grip. Tight lower three fingers. Loose index curled on front. Thumb resting on middle finger.

    Cheonji horn biocomposite bow goes up to 95# @31"!

      @KTBIOM  Před dnem

      @@peterlai9018 Yes i think so. This is supposed to be a 60# and i did not pay extra for heavy weight. Cheonji also make Gakgung so they know what they are doing.

      @@KTBIOM Nice! Do you find the bow stacks from 31" to 32" draw? A few users say the biocomposite version hits a wall after 31" draw?

    • @KTBIOM
      @KTBIOM  Před dnem

      @@peterlai9018 no. I am drawing to 33". There is always some stacking but not enough for me to notice. It does stop when i use my 35" arrows, but that is normal. I try to draw to 33" with them, but not sure how far i go.

    Sir can you please tell me what do they mean in bow length Small ,medium large in CM

    • @KTBIOM
      @KTBIOM  Před 9 dny

      For Cheonji, 119cm is a longbow. 117.5cm is a middle bow, 115cm is short bow and 109cm is a short-short bow.

    Does not resemble a real korean bio composite bow very much. Those "curl" backwards all he way to an "O" when unstrung . Gives tremendous sinue pretension and performance despite very sleek dimensions. Still a very beautiful bow strung , this one though.

    • @KTBIOM
      @KTBIOM  Před 22 hodinami

      @@vespass225 no not similar to a Gakgung 각궁 horn bow. This is a gug gung 국궁 a "national palace" bow made with modern materials like carbon and glass. There is a bio composite version of this bow with horn on the belly. Armin Hirmer did a review on his channel.
